Cadence are building a strong rep; they've ventured into the specialist market (barbel rods by Des Taylor) which look more than a little retro however they are apparently decent tools. Dave Lane seems a good fit if they are appealing to the more experienced carp angler . . .

The alarms look like some pony gear you would find in decathlon with a nice case with a free lanyard! Just clicked link and description on carpworld site. What a load a old tosh these are. Seriously who designed these? Mr Remington?

Agreed, look like something you can pick up off ingoldmells market for £15. In terms of looks I think most alarms look hideous, Nevs being the best.

They are but people dont /wont associate them with carp gear. I bet hardly anyone knows they make any let alone Laney putting his mush to their gear.

They could have made those alarms much better looking just by moving the roller wheel down further in the housing and then using the ears as snag ears by opening out the middle section..
They will be in the bargain bin for £80 a set by Christmas.

They have just released the Kamo Range of luggage... i believe that if you watch one of the recent youtube videos there is a chance you may see a bivvy in the same Kamo pattern
But as said nothing confirmed and just rumoured so far

My first impression is that they used the back of delkims and the front of Fox as inspiration to design their alarm. But the look very cheap.
If you want to set yourself in this market you will to do this with a sturdy looking alarm with the necessary feature and reliability.
At the moment some of these characteristics are missing

In all honesty, all the alarms look and feel cheap; been only one alarm I've picked up and gone this feels nice, and that's the one by carp-sounder, still looks rubbish though. the rx+ is probably close second, cant look at them and go yeah that's worth £230 a head though and let's not start on the receiver looks like something straight off of wish
