Problem is it takes a very long time to establish a good reputation in the alarm market and there has never been so much competition.

I guess with the worldwide semiconductor shortages, everything being on a 52 week plus leadtime plus components costs etc we're not going to see a product on the market for about 18 months / two years so plenty of time - pretty much a standard development cycle.

Without the right financial backing history may not count for much. What happened to ace, solar etc. Although I bought wolf as I liked the features and design which many don't, the fact that the people involved had history with numerous alarms ie dxr, lxr, rx digital helped along with the 4 year warranty and UK based support. Very few on the banks yet so not sure they will make it long term but they seem to be developing other products around the alarms like illuminated bobbins and intruder detection. Sadly most investors don't seem to look at long term.

Solar fell victim to faulty design and unfortunate events, ACE didn't fit Shimano's profit levels.

Vibration as well as roller would be the one for me. Not like the Wolf option which I believe makes its own mind up where vibration is concerned. I mean a head that can be switched between roller, vibration, or both, and works effectively for all of the above.

It can if you choose to use it that way but either can be set lower than the other so the higher set takes priority or switch it to zero.
