Comfy for me, but need a belt of course.
Kind of weird, size smaller fits perfect and comfy, but cant have anything in the pockets, so i have to go one size up.

Just bought myself two new pairs of Craghoppers combats in the sale today £70. Same as my old pair, like a 3 season trousers with a stretch, showerproof and quick drying. Lifetime guarantee 
I also have some Berghaus ones and North face ones but prefer the Craghoppers for fishing. Had army combats in the past, no problems for me but I would get them from a local surplus supplier then you can get the sizes bang on.
I believe the Helikon stuff is Polish military and top quality. Looked at a heavyweight fleece a while back, will wait until next winter now

good stuff, personally i would look at winter clothing now, always get bargains out of season! Best time to buy winter clothing is summer and vice versa 👍

The best lightweight outdoor trouser that I've found is the "Flow Trousers" from Troll Outdoors. They are stretchy and fast drying. They are also made in the UK.

IMHO the best all year round trousers are ex German army (Bundeswehre) moleskin issue trousers. Although these are known as ‘moleskin' trs but they are not moleskin as we know it in the uk. They are a tight weave cotton mix fabric which is very soft, durable, windproof fabric, extremely hard wearing and real quality. These are the ones which were withdrawn from issue once the camouflage ‘flecktarn' issue ones came along which have a higher nylon content in them and are nowhere near as comfy.
There is still one firm going that had the original contract and still makes them. You still see the original ones on eBay in obscure sizes ( 28” waist 36” leg etc), but this company has the full size range.

I have to say Im not normally a fan of fishing clothing BUT the korda polar kombats are brilliant, warm & hard wearing and have stood the test of time think I've had them 3 years now - by comparison I didnt rate the fortis versions at all and quickly ditched them.
Also to add away from the lake I do like combats and have some from stone island and cp combats both brands are £200+ and I rate the korda obnes as better than both of them

Craghoppers were OK, not now! Quality has gone down hill massively and the sizing is all over the place. They only ever were OK for warmer days and lacked enough pockets. I still have a couple of pairs for hot days, else I have found in terms of fit, longevity, function and quality - by a country mile, Helikon UTP. I have several pairs in various colours. Easily the best combats you can buy. Military 1st sell them. Oh and you can insert knee pads into them - brilliant for stalking or floater fishing. PS, don't buy anything from tackle companies - 100% carp tax

Yes the polars are excellent combats for the colder months...had mine 3 years as well...lasted very well, certainly keep your legs warm...
