That's good to hear that the quality has impressed you to keep it above others.
The main reason I wanted it was for its height and ability to add the Social Cap for when the misses wants to tag along.
I'm 6ft8 so no bivvy is ever going to be big enough! Haha but excited to try it on an overnighter soon.

The 3 rod support bar is a godsend, fits between uprights - does what it says on the tin, but much better than the 2 that are either side of door, especially if raining.
If you are fishing a 'dodgy' lake where spod and marker rods go walkies in the night you can also fold your rods in 2 and velcro them in the skullcap fittings.

Yep i just watched this too as it looked relatively useful, the video is funny too, made me laugh but i dont think ill be buying one right now. I also have this bivvy , having used many different ones over the years this one is pretty damm good all round . Had mine a couple of years not treated it like a princess but i do dry it out if i pack the whole thing away wet if its a little damp roud the skirts i just open the bag up and let it breathe / condensate out. the only thing thats broke is one of the elastics down the pole which happens on every bivvy ive ever owned.
I also own a aqua F&L which i use for shorter sessions but if i had to keep one of the 2 it would be the tempest , with the g/s infill and skull cap i love it. the material is light and hard wearing . quick to put up , easy to pack down. Bag is too small really wouldnt be surprised if its the same as the rest of the tempests and thats why its so snug. but it does fit, and i pack mine away with the infill on.
Id like the option to fold back the sides further personally without using clothes pegs but its not the end of the world. Overall a great bivvy.

Yeah looks to be slightly flexible.
But seems overkill as you would have 2-3 rods out and then 1 spot rod and maybe 1 marker rod on the current rod straps.

I have the 100T, it's the ideal shelter for me. Plenty of space, plenty of height, goes up and down quick and doesn't weigh a ton.
I don't think I'll bother with that strap contraption though, you can just lean three rods on the back no bother without it?

Not really to be honest. I only use it as a brolly, so no accessories. I did think about the mozzi mesh, but I always think they trap as much in as keeping out!
No special care, I pack it up wet if it's wet and it's fine. Same went for the original tempest Brolly it replaced. The beauty of nylon shelters.

What prevents me from buying one is the cloth, you can see through it , I don't think it's ideal for the colder nights and if it rains in terms of condensation, yes you can buy a wrap that will help but for you still have a bivvy with paper thin cloth.

I prefer the nylon to the Aquatex on my Armo. Lighter, dries quicker and needs no care at all.
I don't want a pitch black hovel to sit in, just something that keeps the rain out. And I don't use a front so no condensation.
But different people want different things from a shelter.

I spoke to Adam Reed at the Essex show yesterday and asked him this same question, he said they will be doing the 100T in aquatexx but nothing in the pipeline as yet, so couldn't give any dates or timescales.
