We do enough, no need to risk causing any more potential damage is there, especially when avoidable. Small hook mark vs scratched flank or potentially eye damage dependent on rig length...
maybe you are of different mindset and don't care about the fish you catch, each to their own. Bit weird to try and mock someone that would rather do less damage than more isn't it.

I dont think it does actually stick out all the time, it looks like it does in the video but I think that's the weight of the lead pulling it down. I could be wrong, but i think with the lead gone the metal tag is covered.

It's the same as the MCF Dumper. The wire doesn't stick out apart from the split second the lead is ejected. Then it retracts flush with the clip. There's no risk of damage to the fish imo.
It's basically a Dumper that can be reversed into a standard lead clip type set up. It's a decent design imo.

The photos on their website seem to show it sticking out and not sitting in the plastic groove.
Suppose it's nothing a gentle bend with a set of pliers wouldnt sort anyway even if it was the case.
Can see losing a lead in weed potentially bending the wire out of place.
If it sits in properly then there's no issue but it really isnt clear from their photos at all.

I quite like it, looks a bit chunky but I don't think the carp would worry about that.
If you watch the video in post #1 it shows you that the clip retracts back into the clip once the lead has been discharged.

Yep! thats what all tackle companies do, then in a year or so there will be a MKII, just like pretty much everything ever released by a carp tackle company!

Agree, used the MCF Dumpers extensively on a lake a few years ago where dropping the lead was essential. Only issue with the dumpers, (Mk2 more than MK1) was that you could lose the lead on the cast with a big chuck and 4oz lead, so much so that I used to PVA tape it to keep it a bit more secure........will be interesting to see if the RM design eliminates this...

I think they commented on one video about them tbf,it always makes me laugh how it is always two years testing.They might test them for that period,the problems start when the item gets mass produced.I hope they have got these spot on,leads flying off the clips on the cast could be very dangerous

Will personally stick with the MCF Dumper clips, been using these now for over 4 years whenever the lead needs to go (with PVA tape on the cast, of course!)
