Also using the Actor ((Mk1), on the US lakes. Just back from a week on the 26,000 acre Dale Hollow).
Slightly damp inside the battery area, but worked fine in the moderate waves that appeared.
A good, reliable cheap option for you to consider.

I really hate giving advice Im not 100% sure of !
so I phoned a pal in France this morning who has been using one since they came out on a few large lakes with waves and he said its no problem at all !!
nor was his previous boat lake reaper but the reaper would not work with the Deeper so he upgraded to the Actor Bait Boat that he considers a better boat ?
and 2 of his friends now have Actor boats too he said he is going to upgrade again to their top model they do after Christmas
so that made me happy

Took 2 boats to france this August
UK bespoke big boy and the actor with sonar that I needed to give a run out for a local resi where you have to barrow miles
The main spot was 160yrds ish in a v shape of pads, both performed admirably and did its job.
The actor did get blown about and due to size was difficult to actually see at that range due to it being dinky u have to reverse out of this spot with the actor but can drive right through the pads with the bigger boat.
Horses for courses me thinks, big waters bigger boat smaller waters.
Difference in cost between the 2 is vast but the difference in performance in this situation was also noticeable.
I'm 100% happy with both but the big boy bespoke rules the waves.

completely agree a bigger heavier boat the better the performance in big waters
BUT !! SO is the price tag !!! your big boy boat Im guessing is £2000 ish ?? yes you get what you pay for my mate in France had the big Anatec Catamaran one of the top big any weather boats but like me getting to old to lift and lug about a great big heavy boat now uses the amazing little Actor and loves it on big lakes out there
the point is here if you dont want to spend 4 figure sums on a boat that is mainly going to be used on our smaller UK waters and maybe annual French trip then these little Actor bait boats used sensibly are extremely capable boats
like you and posted below are actual owner user`s !!
that have used them on big water and resssys without any problems ! and work a LOT BETTER than some of the more expensive small /medium boats in todays market
BOTTOM LINE comes down to what you want a boat to do and where you intend using it ???
if its for typical UK waters range 100 to 200 yards and dont send it out in a storm then Actor has now been proven to be ideal and would get my money every day

At the end of the day their is so much choice you pays the money you buy your boat.
But yes users reviews do help 🙂
I'm happy with my mk2 technicat had it for 7 years now (zero problems) toying with the idea of a few upgrades over the winter period.

I liked my mk2 technicat nice little boat I had their sounder fitted and add on GPS think its the best boat that Angling Tech make !
but its well overpriced compared what you can get for that price from Actor though

I bought mine 2nd hand for £330 (January 2014) with two sets of HD batteries and the deluxe bag as my mate said to me “‘bargain”
It had the receipt in the bag as well was just over a year old ! £699 back then.

I know you're a fan of a particular boat, and fair play. The big drawback on such a small boat as I see it is that if you are using them to bait up, these small payloads are nigh on useless, especially so if you're baiting say an arbitrary spot at say 200yds and you want to put in 20kg. With a boat that has a payload of 1.5kg, narf ganna take a while to pile in 20kg of bait, let alone the batteries you'd end up using going out to a spot at 200yds. Now take a boat like an RT4 with a payload of 5kg at 200yds, that's 4 trips and 1600 yds in total.
Of course, not everyone is going to put in 20kg of bait regularly baiting up and highlighting such things is just a mental exercise, all the same, what I mention underscores the drawbacks of small boats irrespective of how stable they may or may not be given X weather conditions.
What I can really conclude with these small boats is they're good in some respects for small waters and a handful of baits which can be used at extended ranges and not much else because of their limiting factors.

I had a Euro Viper for a couple of years took easily a 5kg bag of boilies + no bother cant remember if it was 6kg or 8kg capacity ? it was handy on some lakes not very fast though
but the lakes I fished in France that were heavily fished I found the bigger fish kept away from large beds of bait the old saying see what everyone else is doing and do something different applied
but really budget you get what you pay for and what you need a boat to do I loved the Anatec boats the Anatec cat is one of the best rough water boats ever made !! a mate sent one out about 250 yards and a storm appeared out of nowhere we could not see the boat for the giant waves that this squall suddenly produced on this giant lake luckily it had GPS and we could see it was still moving only by that and hadnt sunk ! it came back no bother could not believe it when she came ploughing thru but they do test them at sea 5kg payload very fast and now even faster with the new lithium batteries and brushless motors
the choice for 2 grand plus boats is vast now
but if you only want to spend a few hundred you just need to spend it on the best bang for the buck

UK Bespoke bait boats are bringing out in January 22 a smaller boat, PD33. On the photo it looks to be about 3/4 of the size of the current PD34 model. Have a look on their facebook site.
They say it can be supplied with all the usual bells and whistles you get on the larger PD34 model.
No costs yet but they say it will be competitive - but don't they all
