Apologies for my error earlier.
I just take a pair of garden shears to chop off any ugly out of sync Rod handles.
BTW - anyone want to buy an 11ft 3 carp Rod with slight handle damage...?

I take my reels off once casted out can then get all 6 of my rods within milimatures

That's a lot of messing about, its far easier to buy one reel and 2 spare spools, and just move the reel body about from rod to rod and fit the spool......and hope you do not get two runs at once.

Don't listen to the scruffy gets that accept random handle positions . . .its an indication of their general tardiness and therefore they must all be noddies . . .(

If however like me you have carpers OCD (and most of us do) Zacks advice (Post 11) is a good starting point . . .however by loosening the clutch and rotating the handle line twist will def occur quicker which will make you more of a noddy in the long run . . .
Best practice IMO is to set the handle/spool/roller wheel position after you've cast out (and with the rod in your hand) and have sunken the line / are ready to tighten up any remaining slack etc. Its at this point (when you start reeling in) that you decide / lock in the ideal position.
Once happy (and without reeling in so much that you've moved the lead / rig) position the rod in the rest and before you set your indicators loosen the clutch and twist the spool anti clockwise by hand to tighten up the excess . . .if you're lucky this will be minimised (dependant on the range you've cast) prior but sometimes on one reel you may need to twist the spool more than others (and dependant on whether you are slack lining / semi slack etc).
You'll still get twist eventually however you can sleep well in the knowledge that your set up looks the best it can be and that you are a now a true carp guru . . .

If you loosen the clutch and hold the line to allow the handle to turn independently of the spool, this will not create line twist because the only thing turning is the handle. The slipping clutch is breaking the link.

I think most people keep the line rollers at the top, not because of tart, but it gives the best angle of line for the bobbin.

Don't worry mate, I'm sure I have mild OCD 'cause everything has to line up for me otherwise I can't relax
As mentioned, loosen the clutch, off hold the line in front of the reel and wind away to your heart's content until everything is perfect and super carpy
