Sounds nasty. I've seen pictures of quite bad cuts from discs mainly when still driven though.
Retired now but I found a face shield safer and also reduces the amount of grit you eat.

Some good feedback there for people
I currently work in heavy industry and have.a few welders that work for me and contractors, Nasty accident a couple of years ago now, 9 inch grinder bounced back and the lad had to have 34 stitches in his face, they take no prisoners!!!
A month ago one of our foreign plants, same again, bounced back and hit his glasses, lot of stitches.
A word of warning, all grinders are extremely dangerous, 9” ones deadly. We have a clear visor policy since the first accident. A lot of places are banning large hand held grinders and rightly so

I actually think the little 4 inch are more dangerous because people become complacent. Although yeah I've seen someone take a 9 inch blade to the face,not a pretty sight.

In order to use the Pro MIG 180 on thicker materials, 208/230 volts will be needed as input voltage. Welders made by Lincoln Electric are well known for their quality, and the Lincoln Pro MIG 180 is no exception.
In terms of construction and feel, Forney Easy Weld 140 MP is excellent. In addition to its durable construction, it is lightweight as well. The weight of the machine is about 24.81 pounds. Despite its lightweight, this unit weighs only 11 1/2 kilos (11.25 kg). It is suitable for all garage-related tasks.
