Carbon comes into it's own for heavy baiting at distance. For small qtys there's not much benefit. For large qtys it makes a huge difference and can be the difference between tennis elbow or not.

I have the korda one and the tackle box one, when I intend to use a lot of boilie I'll take the tb one, if I think little and often will be the order of the day I'll take the korda, the carbon sticks seem to amplify the noise.
I've almost given up on throwing sticks tbh, every bird in the south east knows its the dinner bell, I never seem to get 5 baits out before a flock of birds descends on the area

I'm pretty much the same, just feels like you are feeding the gulls after the first couple of throws, and the carbon stick definitely has the louder lunch bell. It's a fecker as spreading them about with a stick is my preference over messing about with a spod.
Anyone use one of those Nash sticks with the two rods to guide it out rather than a tube? Any quieter?

I use my cobra for 95 % however ifs its large quantity at distances around 100 plus yards I have an ACE carbon stick, you can't get them anymore. The Daiwa carbon stick was the ultimate distance stick and it's around £70 now with achievable distances of around 130 yards.

I agree it must have been that or something else they was doing, I've had mine a few years now and it's still perfectly good as new. Not had a problem with it

Thanks for the feedback and information. Im a newbie to throwing sticks so here is the numpty question. Can I use a 25mm diameter stick for boilies ranging in size from 15mm to 24mm or willI I need different sized sticks? Will only be using on a couple of venues that dont allow bait boats

Not a fan of baiting up in the dark if I can help it. How do you see where the baits are landing in the dark? I'd at least need a couple of swings at it before I got my eye in!
