This was done over 30 years ago and was seen on a few waters around Hampshire and Surrey (especially on one big Royal Park lake) when after pike. The bloke who made it lived opposite me in Farnborough.

Saw one 25 years ago on a pit in Wraysbury, not only did it drop bait, but it squirted water out it beak at othe ducks and tuftys ..

If you put one out at the moment it would either get beaten to death or sh*gged to death, the ducks certainly think spring has arrived around our way.
