One thing i've noticed with my advanta stove and gas cannisters is that the can needs to be screwed on pretty tight.
I believe its just a case of the metal prong bit not quite going far enough into the rubber seal properly, as i was experiencing what i thought was low pressure but just a tweak of the can got it roaring again.

I've never had any issues with the 70/30 Coleman stuff and fish right through the winter. You do have to make sure they are screwed in tight or they will seem weak.

Also had the same issue with my most recent box of Coleman gas....thought it was the stove at first. Some cans in the box work fine, some not at all.....

Same problem. Had 2 boxes early on in the year when Ebay were doing 15% off. First box fine. First two cans out the second box are poor. Had a bit left in the last can of the first box tried that, all fine. I suspect a dodgy batch.

I had some Cadac (I think?) do this a couple of years ago, it was like the pin wasn't being pressed in enough when the stove was screwed on, had to really clamp it down and get it to work, gave up in the end and binned them.

My batch of Coleman this year is alright. Does seem that when unscrewing there is a lot of leakage though which I've never had before. But I was screwing it on real tight.

Anybody found a stove that combats the problem's of the pin not being long enough ? I.e longer pins. I have about 12 cannisters that dont work !

Bullin T4 has a rubber washer that compresses down. Works well with the Coleman cans for me.

I use the Coleman gas C500 tins with no issues at all. I did think had an issue as my Primus Omni Fuel was running a bit low & the hot water trick didn't resolve it, so tried a different stove at home & it was roaring. Obviously means my Primus needs a good service.
I always carry a small Thermos metal flask with me once the clocks go back (or when the daytime temps drop below 10C for several days) purely to hold left over water after making a drink. Firstly it means I can have a drink quickly during the night should I wake up for any reason (or for the first drink of the day), and secondly if it does turn cold overnight & the gas is struggling, I pour about an inch of water into a bait box or pan & stand the gas in that. Much cheaper long term than a USB powered heated cozy or handwarmers in the bottom.

Recently got a bulin after my old Trakker one took 35 minutes to cook 2 burgers last week.

Best thing I've bought in a while.

I've had a couple of dodgy cans, the pin in far enough. I wouldn't encourage this, but I had to put a little stick on top of the pin then screw it up tight and they were fine. Still not ideal and not what you want to do with gas. I now keep a spare can in the motor.
