Used to use my unhooking Matt, I have had one for 8 years and use it for the Bivvy entrance to protect my ground sheet. If it's cold and frosty and I'm fishing on boards it gets moved next to the rods to give my sure footing.
If I'm in waders and fishing off boards I use it to prevent my damaging my waders when getting in and out of the water.
In addition I have another larger one that belongs with my powerplus the smaller one is then pegged down just outside or used as above when needed.

I use the trakker thermal bivvy mat it's a bit thicker than others but it's a good bit of kit and keeps the bivvy clean
Have the Fox and Tracker and there is no difference. My Fox is starting to look Carpy with the worn holes in the neoprene

There is definitely a difference in the fox camolite bivvy mat and the trakker insulated bivvy mat, the fox one is much thinner and the trakker one is much more durable I have got both right now

. . .got a ye olde Chub neoprene one . . and had a Nash neoprene one prior to that . . .ways nothing even if you dont end up using it . . .useful bit of kit esp if you rarely use a groundsheet in warm weather to keep your tootsies injury/duck**** free when escaping the bag - neoprene also good if wet as it acts like a sponge rather than boots direct to groundsheet which tends to collect/bead up water ingress . . .
