Fair enough things have changed in the last few years then lol
I tried to get things welded years ago and got told nah can't do it
try To get it braised.

I have a TIG welder And a mig welder and braizing kit
Think I might try welding some of these alloys up

Even if you had the the right gear the issue welding this shaft would be keeping it all straight. As the weld cools it will contract, pulling it out of whack. You can then apply heat to the opposite side to pull it straight, but this is not an exact science and would not necessarily pull in the perfect opposite plane. Im guessing for the shaft to be useable it would have to be perfectly straight, I can't see that happening.

Fair play for giving the glue a go, but I'd hope it doesn't blow up with a decent fish on. Hand lining is a stressful business!

A trained toolmaker would be a good bet for a solid brass or stainless replacement, an old pro with a milling machine and lathe in his shed would probably take it on but I'd say a commercial company would be prohibitively expensive.

Yeah I think my only real good hope is a German bloke who makes shimano parts and think he's making them, god knows how much they'll be though
