The fox explorer is a good alrounder i think personally. Have used it for day sessions without the front extended and also for weekenders and its taken the lot comfortably. Wont be getting rid of mine for a long time

Also after a very compact barrow/trolley, am probably going to go down the plastic wheelbarrow route.

Mines not for amounts of tackle as I only fish with 1 rod and short sessions but for bait, I tend to use loads because of baiting many spots on rotation and going back to the motor to re-fill is a pain.

Also worth a look at the Tackle Box ‘Anglers Compact Barrow' too - £75 and very compact/light. For the money I've been pleased with it and it packs down small.

I'e had both the fox and the porter lite (two of them in fact as the first one i used to leave at a syndicate lake and forgot to pick it up...).

I got the fox one and undoubtedly a good bit of kit and felt very sturdy. i didnt use the associated bag it came with as couldnt be bothered to keep putting them on and off each time.

For me the porterlite is perfect - easily big enough for everything i need from an overnighter to longer. i think the longest session was 5 days and it took everything for that.

For me the plus point was that it folded up better and took up less space in my boot, and quicker for me to put together.

Bed on top, upside down with legs up, bait bucket and water butt at the front, mat on bed quiver on top. if going for 24 hours plus then a small TA cool bag joins that. Drennan barbel rucksack on back and good to go.

if you extend the front then most of the weight is over the wheel and it is very easy to push. i did get a puncture proof tyre to avoid any issues with finding a puncture at 7pm on a friday evening trying to rush around the lake!

I believe they have stopped selling them but i would go to a local metal fab shop and ask them to whip a set up

I use the porterlite and love it but have changed the handles for two reasons . Firstly, being a short arse I found I was having to bend my arms to Get the back legs clear of the ground . The straight handles solve this . Secondly , the added crossbar stops handle flex when fully loaded . As mentioned it does pack down nice and compact . As also mentioned there is a knack to loading it and I found it best to not put too much weight in the underbag . All in all a great barrow for my fishing 👍

Do you find the handles that are joined to stop them flexing are straight enough and better than the originals ?

Just sorting through some pics and found one of my Porterlite with 48 hours worth of shizzle on it (inc baitboat), just to give you an idea of what it can cope with, I would say easily as well

I have the front bars extended and note how all the weight is over that front wheel, the under-bag is probably rammo as well
