Sorry to an old hippy such as I that Audra Mae version is a travesty. The original and by far the best was first sung and recorded by Bob Dylan in 1973 for his album Planet Waves. This version featured The Band as Dylan's backing group.

Anyone who's really interested in this song should check out the version on the last waltz . Imho the best version. In fact do yourself a real favour and watch the whole film. The night they drove old dixie down is the best version of that song you will ever experience.

This 100% got the DVD and it's just about worn out!
Before The Flood is worth a listen too IMHO.

This site is classed as 'Safe' by Malwarebytes and in all the time I have been using it MWB have never flagged up a warning at me. Mind you, I use a PC that is very well protected

yea it does then type in what you want to search for and when it finds the video you click on the video and to proceed it wants to add an extension to your browser
but if you simply click to download the mp3 you get this

Most of the sites I used to use don't work anymore.
I have used this Windows app to grab YouTube videos before, BUT, recently it's not been as good.
However, it has an option to download JUST the mp3 (sound from the video)
Might be worth a try?
