same happened to my sister today, was expecting the go through of a hotel she bought in Devon..yet another solicitor saying they expect the market to crumble.. they have have no clue..

****ing gutting mate !! Have been in our new house a year in may ,200 miles away so will have keep going back once lockdown over and try sell again !
I suppose in the scheme of things its not the end of the world !

It's only been a couple of weeks. We used to have to stop fishing for 3 months every year, and still do on the rivers

Had something similar happen, although not as close as that

We were due to complete 5 days before they pulled out

Rumours of a 25% decrease in value scared them off. To be honest, i think that its rubbish but id be set to lose almost 200k if that were the case so I'll sit tight for now and lets face it, things could be a lot worse

At least you'll get a nice bit of compensation from the buyer. Usually 10% depending on what was signed at exchange!
