I like camo gear,green shows every tiny mark and stain it plays havoc with my ocd
If green camo pattern was important from a fish catching point of view, even when stalking, herons and egrets would be long since extinct.
Do I care what people wear when fishing? No not really, although drab clothing just fits in with a countryside pursuit. Urban carpers crack on with whatever you want.

I think that if you look at a colour in grey scale and it appears a similar dark grey to green then it's okay to wear - hence the red tops.
Just a theory chaps, don't slate me.

I'm sure with Matt Hayes and the like they wore them depending on whether it was a mirror or common that they caught for photo purposes

i dont think it would be my cup of tea to look across a lake and see people in bright red tops in fact I see some syndicates have banned white t shirts!

I used to have white (obviously non-carp) bait bucket. I went back to the car once and I clearly see it about a quarter of a mile away. Not good as I was barbel fishing at the time and might have been bending some of the rules about night fishing and it was visible on moonlight lights from a fair way. A quick lick of paint made it blend in, I even "realtreed"branches in with a different colour! It was functional because I regularly hid it in foilage whilst transferring smaller quantities of bait into a smaller bucket whilst I wandered about the river trying different swims. It was done a bit tongue in cheek but it did serve a purpose.

If a syndicate wants to start dictating what colour t-shirt you wear I would have to say they are a very long way up themselves.

My mrs bought me some olive joggers for crimbo and I have put them in the van to wear every time I have been but I go after work on Friday so wear my work joggers and leave my unused olive ones in case it rains.

Jan Porter also wore red when fishing the match scene and John Wilson loved a red jumper aswell .... I think I read/heard somewhere in the distant past that some people wore red tops as fish photos looked better
