Completely agree. Im a massive tart but I constantly remind myself that its the last 6 feet that matter, normally when talking myself out of new gear that I dont need. Hooks are one thing I will never skimp on

I completely agree and won't be buying on just a whim, but the price for 10 hooks nowadays is very steep & I use to go through a lot of them.

On the off chance I can get hold of my favourite patterns in bulk it's got to be worth a punt right?

Like others have said hooks are not something I would take a chance on to save a few quid, though I do agree many are overpriced.

i wouldnt entertain buying hooks of ali express never in a million years. we spend 1000s on tickets a year, sleep under 700 quids worth of shelter, on a 300 quid bed,in a 200 quid sleeping bag, all pushed round the lake on a 200 quid barrow to chuck cheap bait and ali express hooks at our targets for a year madness in my opinion.

I agree it makes no sense to scrimp on hooks, but I did buy some from bank tackle and was quite impressed, but then the esp trig hammers came out and I've used them since
