I'd agree with you, I think it does ok on a cloudy type of water and waters with too many fish in them but my experience on a gin clear gravel pit isn't great.

Probably the same double hard, proper kipper, windswept, heavily weeded, long distance venues that floaters don't work on

Carp aint that smart imo lads. I have only used Goo on one water and that was very much a gin clear weedy old gravel pit holding some proper Nene Valley originals. They didn't seem to mind it one bit.
I don't fish any cloudy overstocked waters so I couldn't compare any experiences on those.

I've caught tricky carp from clear water on day glow pop ups, yellow plastic, pink foam..... you name it. It's where you put it that matters boys.

I can't say I'm advocating the stuff, but it defo works on tricky waters in my experience.

I would have to disagree,

On the Syndicate I am on, one of the top guys on there 95% uses Goo and he hammers the place at times and there is only 70ish in 19acres and its crystal clear and rather weedy.

He is a very good angler anyway so this is more than likely the reason why he is successful.

Don't Korda make most of their videos on pressured lakes?

Its the same as most things in Angling, there will be days it gets you more bites and there will be days its counter productive. Personally i have never used it but if i fished highly stocked day ticket style waters i would be tempted to give it a go.

Yeah they do, in a swim that's the best on the venue, roped off and pre baited for a week

Don't you think it's too chemical for some waters and that it's also not the sort of thing we should be doing? Chucking any other sort of chemicals into a waterway would land you with a court appearance and a fine.

Simply put no mate. Number 1 a company as huge as Korda wouldn't be endorsing a product without finding out what's in it and if there was anything harmful they wouldn't endorse it.

Plus it's the same thing ali explained in the goo video him, dove and spooner did that the amount of bottles you would need to empty into a lake at the same time is something like a million bottles in a 5 acre lake before it would even have a remote effect on say water quality

You drink it then.

Korda isn't a huge company.

Korda advocate the dropping of leads, lead is a poison, chuck lead into a waterway under any other circumstance and you would be charged.

Perhaps someone can remember but wasn't there a fuss made when Goo came onto the market. Something to do with it being similar to stuff they use to detect leaks in drains?

I haven't found it to make a noticeable difference on bottom baits or pop ups. But for surface fishing I have seen it be the difference between a “nearly taken” and “confidently taken” floater.

They don't seem to swim out of their way for the coated hookbait, but something about the Goo seems to stop them turning away at the last minute and turned interest into bites.
