Sounds like they've just shafted the angler's with some cr@p old line they've picked up from somewhere before they go under, and not done Shimano any favours in the process by the sounds of it.

Yeah, right, cobblers. How many hundreds of spools, maybe 1000s do you think they've sold, do you think 10 or 20 negatives outweigh the positives
Do you really think Shimano give 2 hoots about 1 or 2% failure over 10s of thousands of spools?
Seems in this day and age people are all too happy to jump on the negatives, more fun I suppose, makes life more interesting, using a shops demise to cast dispersions on the way they operated, In my book that's pish poor....

I had this same issue on technium 12lb about 10 years ago, I lost a good fish then a much smaller one to the line snapping. I was hoping this batch would be better but it looks like I'll be stripping it off my spools now and going back to Korda touchdown

I'm using the 15lb XT for the 1st time this year, so far so good, no compalints from me

Reviving an old thread - is anyone still using the 'new' (or relaunched old) technium? Did anyone have any problems with the line other than that supplied by Bobco?

I've only used one of the 6 spools I bought.
It's been fine...hopefully the other spools are OK too!

I initially spooled up with it (not from Bobco) but got spooked by the reports of failures so swapped over to Synchro XT. Hating the Synchro so will likely switch back to the Technium but thought if check if there were ongoing failures from other suppliers.
