I see that Delkim are releasing a V2 of the TXiD. Not a lot of info on them yet but it does look as though you can change the LED colours....

I heard drop back tone and changeable leds so the two updates everyone wanted if true. Ive never really thought either of those things were important mind. They have done what everyone asked for but there all still whinging on fb complaining saying they should of had that in the first place.

Interesting to see how they get the drop back from the vibration sensor. Not a feature I'm particularly interested in and my TXI Plus are still going strong. The only feature I might like that they don't have is the signal test/call back that the ECU alarms have. Even that is not really necessary.

Just watched a video on fb by delkim. They dont have a different tone as like you say not possible with the sensor as it cant differentiate between forward and back so I was wrong there. They have simplified them as well so easier to change settings.

In the old days with electronics folk would have used piezoelectric methods now the world has moved on and folk use mems accelerometers for vibration sensing as well as inclination speed and distance measurement.
That said these changes I would say are just a mild update for Delvin to gauge the interest (and gain a few more sales) for a whole new alarm 18 months to two years away.

They must be losing out on sales to re-release a product this early . . . drop back vaguely useful but LED change daft - just buy the colour you want in the first place!

I don't know, I can imagine like a lot of companies who make products with electronics in them when supply was constrained during Covid everyone had to buy more than they needed just to secure stock (and paid a premium for it) Now if you look at the wider market no one is spending money on electronic products as we all bought them during lockdown.

Why you need to change colour is beyond me. The drawback in my opinion is the receiver will match your alarm. So if you have all blue alarms when you get a knock in the night you won't have any idea what rod it is as a blue light will come on
Interestingly they said they have been working with another company with the waterproofing of the new alarms. Does that mean they are finally admitting the txid is crap in the rain.
Also the price has gone up to £145 per alarm I have heard from a good source

No problems in the rain for me and lots of other users.
I would say for both Tx & Rx you will be able to have individual colours
When I bought my first delkims in 1999 they were £137.50 per receiver so in real terms they have actually gone down in price.

I like to change colours personally. But for different reasons. Main one being if one rods snag fishing I'll set that to a different colour and tone. Just so I'm up and straight on it.
But again it's not essential.

I can't say I've ever sat behind my alarms and thought I'd love to change the colour of the led right now

The new waterproof coating on the circuit board is meant to be an industry first and much better than v1 txid. Well so they say anyway.

The only way to waterproof the electronics is to pot the board in epoxy resin as per the Ace i3.
