Hoping someone can offer some advice.
I want to bait up, probably at between 30-50yards, with large amounts of 26mm boilies.
I'm looking at either the ESP Megapult or a throwing stick.
Has anyone used the megapult and could comment on its range and longevity of elastics?
With the throwing stick I wonder if it will struggle to do 30yards? I haven't used one for years but remember that below a certain distance it was quite hard to use.
Any recommendations welcome.

Personally I'd use a catapult.

Catapult for me too at that range. I would use the Korda Heavy catapult with one bait at a time, baits that size should go out nicely.
Unfortunately nearly every lake I fish the gulls make a stick impossible and still think that they would have a go at 26millers.

I'll give the Korda one a go, thank you.
On the spod, got a few reasons for not but the main one is I can't be arsed to be honest.

You can put multiple boilies in a throwing stick to reduce distance.
I regularly bait up at 40metres with about 7 or 8 18mm boilies.
Catapult is OK, but you are limited to 1 or 2 at a time in the big sizes, and it will depend on your catapult.

i reckon they should design a trebuchet style one thats deadly accurate

Waste of money. The Catapult is sh*te, to me anyway. Must be my technique but I found the ESP hit more yards.
80% of my terminal\other gear is Korda. They produce some great stuff.
But they can't come up with a decent Catapult.... I tried their older Pults also.

That's a bummer, I've already ordered one, I've ordered a larger pouch for it so hopefully that will help with quantity.
I've been well impressed with the ESP boilie catapult but didn't think it would be great with such big baits at the quantity I want to put out, like Nick has said I was struggling to imagine to getting more than 1 or 2 in at a time.

The Korda catapult is fine mate, I've used the heavy version for about 5 years without any issues.

I found the Drennan Boiliepult better than all others, but that is me. That is also better than the Rod Hutchinson one I bought recently to update, it wasn't an upgrade and I went back to the Drennan after blooded knuckles.
I did put a smaller pouch on the Drennan Boiliepult, the one supplied is too big. I think it was a Middy pouch, so long since I bought it I honestly can't remember.

Get yourself a large scruffy bob pouch from the tackle box.
A catty with some heavier latex will lob 3-5 big baits at a time in the big pouch.
