Seen it's been shut for the winter but apparently a lot of people who are regulars and locals have said it's been sold to a private estate and won't be reopening? Anyone heard much more about this even though there Facebook states it will be re opening a lot of people close by says it just ain't true?
Plus from what I've heard Pete has moved to farlows surely he wouldn't of left after so long if this wasn't true?
I've fished it a few times seeing a good friend lives not far so we meet up there so would be good to no

Exactly what I was thinking done pretty well during the winter, it says it's only for the winter for them to have break but like I said a few in the comments are kicking right off saying they have sold it off and won't be reopening, time will tell but would be a shame to lose another water.
According to a bloke saying he was a good mate with marsh is really going to town with them now is claiming they have sold it off to a private estate and will not open again for fishing, but like I said we will see

I was told it's becoming a syndicate. Cant say how true that is though.

Wouldn't surprise me mate some are saying it not even going to be fishery at all, they are saying it's going to be a nature reserve? Like I said this is all word of mouth though I don't live close by

Dont know what its been like in recent years but i had some cracking fish from there 20 years ago maybe longer.

Heard this evening that drennan have deffo got it. Will be interesting to see what happens with the fishing on there now but my guess is it will be for the select few.

That's interesting... I had a look with the intention of buying when he had it on the market in 2001 - think it was 800k back then - as it is he withdrew it from sale..loved the lake, but even then the house needed redoing/rebuilding. Peter D is an astute man - and at least it won't end up with no fishing altogether!
