Can anyone recommend a decent barbless outturned eye / chod hook please?
Just joined a few venues for winter and they are all barbless only.

Can you just squeeze the barb down with pliers, or is it a "flattened or crushed barbs not allowed" rule? If they allow crushed barbs, the Atomic Chodda hooks are very good (barbed only).

I have used size 5 Nash Chod Twisters almost exclusively for the past four years and they have never let me down.

The rules just state barbless hooks only... so guess I could crush them down with pliers or try and file them off, might have to double check with them

Personally, I wouldn't ask them, they may say that crushed barbs are not allowed!! If the rule simply says barbless, I'd assume that crushed barbs are OK.
@dannyuk32, think the rule is because when you crush a barb down, it can sometimes leave a tiny bit of the barb, which is enough to get it lodged in the mouth. There was a lake in Shropshire where the rule was "crushed barbs allowed, as long as they don't snag in the bailiffs clothing when tested".

J precision do a very good chod hook (best hooks I find) esp cryogen chod hook is good aswell both worth a look

A small bumb could eliminate slippage (mouth tear) , yet the fish could more easily discharge the hook in such a state, on a slack line.
As long as there's not a true Barb left.
Bumps rather than Barbs... middle road.

Lots of good recommendations above.
The only thing I would add is that I am infinitely happier using a barbless hook with a beaked point.
Might just be a confidence thing but in my mind the beak will hold on a bit more than a straight point, which I just visualise going straight in and back out again with no barb!
