Recently I needed to get a hard boat. I've had Bic Sportyak's & 252's before, and was looking for a Sportyak ideally. I could not believe how much they are going for nowadays... And how rare they seem to be now!! Bic have none... Battered old ones going for £400 second hand 
I started looking around, and found a FunYak Wasp at Decathlon (they call it a FACILALO 200). I'd never heard of FunYak previously, but the wasp really interested me. £300 or £327 delivered and at a weight of only 18kg (Sportyak 27kg)... I bit the bullet and ordered one. The delivery was rapid. From ordering, the boat was at my house in two days. When it arrived, I knew straight away it was everything I'd ever wanted from a boat!
Light, and very easy to transport. It fits into the back of my Mercedes estate. It's very easy to pick up and put above your head up onto a roof rack which is how I choose to transport it.
They are not designed to take a transom, I fitted one in my back garden anyway and have been running a 40lb thrust motor with a 105Ah leisure battery in the boat for the past month. It absolutely flies! Suitable for transporting kit if paddling, the boat has a weight limit of 150kg, so I would not put the motor/battery on with kit inside the boat as well.... But I only need the boat for baiting up etc and never for moving kit. An online friend it turns out has the same boat and loads his up with all his kit on the Thames and paddles.
The transom is a Fishman inflatable transom from Germany, all I've had to do is drill two holes in the back of the FunYak, the holes the adjustable arms are going into are the oar lock holes already there and are secured with bolts.
This boat is the ABSOLUTE dogs danglies. £300 or £327 delivered from Decathlon is a steal IMO. FunYak themselves sell the boat for £250, but they want £125 for delivery.

There you go mate. I paid £61.14 from same place on fleabay, although it's showing as £51 with free delivery from Germany. You will get stung with some extra import fees when you actually click buy. Fishman gear is not available in the UK anywhere I could find. The SportYak transoms were £100 and the arms rusted. These are def much better quality IMO. It came rapidly with DHL International.
The SportYak transom that is also no longer available anywhere like the boats. I think Bic have pulled the plug on the lot. If you need any measurements of the back arms spacing (the front long arms are adjustable so will be fine). Let me know.

Ive seen a few versions that others have made and fitted to Sportyaks - i know the Bic one was never highly rated.
I was contemplating bending some tube and making my own but this looks like a hassle free option (plus im pretty sure id screw it up!)

You're welcome. Every single angler who has seen that transom on the bank has been super impressed. The quality is very good for the money.
It looks like you can Jamie the arms look like they are extendable and also can move to make them wider or narrower 👍

Yes you can mate. They move width ways, and also extend out a long way too as Hitman said. It would not really matter within reason how wide or narrow the boat is.
I have a cheap Intex inflatable from Amazon and the transom for that is good as well and only £26.

Thanks for the heads up on this Tcarper. Picked one up today from Morton boats for £249 + about £50 in diesel to collect. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm quite impressed with it up to now. It's primary use is for freeing tethered fish in a very weedy water, to aid this I've added a couple of butt grips in the pre drilled holes at the stern corners to clip a rod and a net pole in. Fitted in the back of my Shogun LWB no problem.

I had a Funyak 2.80 but it was very heavy and cumbersome for 1 person to move (despite the ball wheels) and wouldn't even fit in a LWB Transporter easily!
It's the boat they use on Rainbow, not why I bought it, but I noticed when I was there.
Because it sat in the garden unused I decided to sell it.

I've just been looking for transom ideas and found this for £27 posted...I'm sure I could make something to fit the WASP...it's a much easier to work with design than the Sportyak 213 (very wide/rounded sides/back)

It's a bit more expensive, but it fits pukka. You just have to drill two holes at the back. It's so simple. There's loads of pics on my faceache.
