Just had to share with you all this, IMO, amazing weather app. And for just £8.99 for the year IF you want to remove ads. The accuracy is incredible. Ive witnessed the app telling me it's going to start raining in the next 1-2 mins and it did. The wind direction and pressure readings.. all useful, accurate info for us anglers.

I used to use it
The minute cast is a good idea as it gives time to put the waterproofs on before getting soaked lol
I don't carry a brolly on day sessions
I'm going to download the app for my new phone as soon as I have sent this

IF ? you have an iphone you can get Dark Sky for iOS
thats truly amazing IMO
sadly Apple has purchased it and so the Android version will cease to work

Dark Sky is no more, at least for Android users. After Apple's acquisition of Dark Sky, the popular weather app is being pulled from the Google Play Store and will cease working for Android smartphones and Wear OS devices on July 1.30

dont think its powered by dark sky any more mate I have it on my phone too unless they have extended it to August ?? cant see Apple having purchased Dark Skys letting the opposition access to it

Dark sky cost me about £3 I think
its a great app but only as good as the users helping it predict local weather
It often tells me it's going to stop raining just as it starts p*ssing down

I've had the RainToday app on my iphone for a few years.
It does give warnings of incoming rain and the estimated time, also includes a radar function with a 2 hour time frame.
It's not bad for a free app.

I have Accuweather, came on the phone when I got it, but I tend to also use MetOffice, then compare the two.
I get closer to the truth predictions that way I reckon.
