The baits only as good as the angler. There isn't a wonder bait and never will be.

If it's in the wrong place it doesn't matter how good it is

Funny you should say that my pal fished alongside me last season using just zigs and destroyed me all year no flavour just black foam while I spent hours and ££££££ on preparing bait 🤣

Correct. Few baits better than maggot, caster etc. Carp will almost always choose a bed of bloodworm over a man made bait
