Does anyone happen to know roughly what length of Bungee cord i would need for some replacement barrow straps please?

This doesn't answer your question, but use a couple of loading straps off ebay, that have the little thumb release. I find them much more secure, and also less dangerous than the bungee cords.
If you search loading straps or lashing straps on ebay there's loads

As said luggage straps are good as are the spider bungees. Far safer than normal single bungee straps

Load the gear onto your barrow and measure it with a tape measure or a piece of string and then measure it
You are the only one who knows what gear you take and how high you load it
Somewhere between 4 foot and 20 foot will be enough
A ratchet strap will do all all the lengths from less than a foot up to 20 foot
You can cut the extra off and seal it with a lighter to stop it fraying

I use hook and loop ,cut to the length I require, then I permanently sew it onto my Barrow,in my case, a porter lite custom dropped..
The straps are hard to lose, and secure my minimal day or over night kit very securely in transit,I learnt because I use the bedchair legs up ,way, all is needed is the hook n hoop to be fitted on the barrows bit you rest the sleeves on...
Day sessions,is similar,Capt my helinox chair goes in the barrow bag ,plus dpm tarp, water filter, and four pegs and a basha pole,so essentially all I carry for long walks is my 40 litre esp rucksack,on the Barrow is my rods and katanaboy 500,as I process wood and clear the swims when fishing..
NB,hook n loop,is otherwise known as velcro,...velcro is the manufacturer's name,there are several, apparently.

I've not bothered using it for a few years now, I have an avid transit with side bars and then even me previously owned low loader so 8 years of so of not using them.
As for length 1.5 metres was my preferred length

If they are replacement straps, why not measure your old ones? Or as I have just done, look them up online and see what length they are. And as they are only £5.99 for a set of Wychwood bungees, and when I also take a very quick look at the price of the elastic itself, 12mm its £4.60 to £6.68 for 3 metres which would be almost enough to fit 2 bungee straps as the Wychwood ones are 120cm extending to 210cm because the hooks like mine are adjustable so you can lengthen or shorten them to fit your barrow and load to get the right tension.
Personally, like many others posting here, I would look at ratchet straps which are far more secure but more importantly far safer. Smack yourself in the face a few times with a bungee and you eventually learn the lesson for how dangerous they are. The last time it happened to me, I got the hook up my "snotbox" and vowed never to use them again before I did lose an eye or rip my lip or nose off my face.. No matter how careful you are, it will happen one day.
Stay safe.

Obvious but sensible advice.
If the OP still wants to use bungees rather than straps then a safer option would be to make a loop in the centre of the bungee and secure it to a convenient bar. Not so good as straps but that way when the hook lets go while tying down at least it springs away from you.

like others have said
after hearing a guy screaming and seeing his black eye he thought he had lost his eye ! but he must have just closed it as the bungee hook got him
I use the Fox barrow straps but seem to be out of stock every where
however the Prestige Porter Barrow Straps are available
LINKY POO

Bunger cords do need to be handled with care and as mentioned luggage straps are preferable try and source out side of the inflated carp companies prices the bays a good start help individuals rather than companies make a living.
You can buy the ratchet straps

Just thought to point it out as most of us are in favour of not using bungee straps as they are dangerous and using ratchet straps instead. There are two types, of strap, ratchet straps and friction straps. The friction straps are usually of the kind that are only tightened by as much force as you can pull them tight yourself and held tight by a buckle, I think these are the luggage strap design. The ratchet straps have a small lever to tighten the strap itself but you have to be careful as you could crush anything under the straps if you overtighten. I have both types and prefer the ratchet style as they are easier to use.
