As per title looking for a liver hydro supplier, a search on the forum suggests beef liver is best.
I have used the baf liver previously although I know this doesn't state the origin.
It is out of stock anyway, so thought I would ask the question.
Regards Tom.

Thanks Deano, failing a beef hydro a reputable supplier of simply, liver hydro will be my next best bet as both feedstim (who seem to have discontinued the goose liver) and baf were my previous purchases.
Thanks Tom.

Have you considered the other option of Beef Liver powder and a protease?
I think you will struggle to find a Beef Liver hydro powder unless you are approaching pharma firms, and you will be looking at way in excess of £100 per kilo I'm afraid.

Thanks I hadn't considered that, I have garnered a limited knowledge on bait in the last few years.
And during that time found myself going round in circles with relation to ingredients and ratios etc,
Even that sent me down all sorts of rabbit holes 😝.
Enzymes are another level entirely.
So earlier in the year I just decided to stick to the old school ratios of 50% fishmeal, 25% birdfood and 25% milk.
Add a couple of hydros, bring some ingredients forward in terms of development and not deviate too much from there.

Somehow failed to include that I would be looking for both a liquid and a powder 😅.

Although i cant vouch for any beef liver products, the baf powder and liquid liver are excellent 👍 as far as i can see the sticky baits liquid liver is the same as baf's too.

I also read somewhere that beef is something carp can't digest. Anyone heard/read that too?

In regards to a beef liver powder. Many years ago I tried the Now foods Argentine beef liver powder, testing results were inconclusive at the time though. So, in the end dropped the liver, went back to a high level of a GLME product supplied by Trade Ingredients at the time.

And, satisfying results on the GLM?

Beef proteins are not easy to digest. We have an acidic digestive system that can break them down. Carp don't even have a stomach let alone acid. However a hydro is predigested to some extent so the aa chains should be shorter and some aa available as free aa

Am I understanding you correctly in saying beef is not a bad option, but better options are available?

Isn´t the liver product´s inclusion, just there to enhance palatability and intake, and not a major source of free AAs
