Hi all,
Looking to get a new Bivvy, currently stuck between the Trakker SLX and Trakker Armo v4? Has had anyone got any experience with either of this and could let me know if the Armo is worth the extra money?
If anyone has any other bivvies they'd recommend also, that would be great.

I have the Slx v3 plus very good bivvy can't fault it, Coming from a Nash double top 2 man, the Slx is better quality, the inner capsule material is also better than the double top, and the set up/ break down time is a lot faster on the Slx (5rib system DT versus 3 rib system Slx )

If you want the armo MK4 they are on sale at the minute at total fishing tackle, I've had both I would definitely go for the armo it's just better material but the slx is a great bivvy aswell so upto you bud

You've asked if we can recommend other bivvys. Can you tell us a bit about what you are looking for in a shelter.
Do you barrow your gear a long way or through fields, making weight a factor.
Do you session fish or just quick overnighter so set up time is important.
Do you want a winter skin, maybe a sown in groundsheet.
Do you have an ideal budget.
Do you need room for a dog, maybe room to take your kids.
Do you fish waters with very tight swims.
Etc etc.
I'm sure we can give you a few ideas to look at.

That's a shame for them, Johnson Ross was doing a good bundle with the wrap aswell recently but they have sold out aswell

Nash titan or an Aqua type armo and wrap is what I would look for
Add wrap, two superb tents that will cover all year round fishing and should last many years

cant go far wrong with a tempest.
i use a composite MB for all of my fishing, its been solid.
had a great deal with an overwrap included for 370 quid.

To be fair mate - I don't think you can get much better than the Tempest V2. It's quality and perfect for when the weather gets rough during Autumn and through Winter.
Loads of room inside and guttering on the entrance.
Been using mine for 5 years and give it a dose of Fabsil each year.

Ok so from what you've said it definitely seems a full sized bivvy would fit the bill more than a brolly based system. Giving you a bit more room for 48hrs if the weather turns and the additional weight is not an issue.
So for my me I think you a probably looking at either
A Titan Pro - heavier than most, definitely slower to set up than some, but rock solid in a storm. A design classic.
A tempest - many different sizes and flavours to suit. Quick set up and a proven design.
A cyprinus typhoon - too early to say as they are a new product. But plenty of us on here have cyprinus shelters without issues and for value for money they take some beating. Plus this has a supplied vapour shield.
There's nothing wrong with a pram hood design, but as someone who owns a pramhood, a brolly based system and a tempest. I think I'd go for the tempest if I needed one shelter to do all the jobs. I'd happily use a titan but I have a long barrow push and so their weight rules them out for me.

It fits in the middle of both my other systems, I bought it partially on a whim as I had spent an entire night in the brolly system with it chucking it down and getting in and out of it was a pain as it's quite low and I'm getting on.
I've just spent my first night in it and I'm pretty happy with it however time will tell what I will use most.

Just back from a 5 day session in my new Nash titan t1camo. Fantastic piece of kit. I wanted a "session" bivvy and this ticks all the boxes. Comes complete with storm poles and with the inner capsule with a sewn in groundsheet, can be used without, if you want it, can be used open fronted. Swallowed my indulgence wide boy and all my kit and still left room for a dance floor. Rained for 24 hours when I arrived, went up quick and didn't let a drop of rain in. Looks and feels bullet proof. Only slight gripe is it doesn't come with a groundsheet if you don't use the capsule. £650 as it comes,(Tackle Box) £700 ish with heavy duty groundsheet. Worth stretching the budget for. Had a number of shelters over the years, glad I bought this beauty for my old age. As I was treating myself I got the winter wrap as well, could be overkill. I didn't use the capsule, no scorpions, snakes or other nasties. With the wrap not a drop of condensation. It is a full on top notch session bivvy so it is as big as it needs to be and weighs what it has to.

If you take a look at these bivvies and their other one's you will notice that they also sell parts for trakker advanced bivvies etc...... They are made in the same factory but here their cheaper as they don't have the other brand name on them...
