Are the greys as good as the hi s I've been told they are any feedback

I can't speak for the Free spirit rods, but the air curves are indeed very good rods for quite a reasonable price too

Agree. I can't compare but can give a recommendation for the Aircurves. Very good rods for a good price especially if you shop around

Had 12ft 3.5lb free spirit hi-s for 7 years and swapped to greys aircurves in 12ft 3.25 2 years ago when the free spirits looked tatty. The 3.25 aircurve is a ridiculously good rod and imo miles better rod than the 3.5 hi-s and possibly the best all round carp rod.

Aircurve 3 lb tc better for playing fish
Hi s better on the casting front (accuracy not range)
Depends on your fishing situation imo

Got the aircurves myself 3.25 and cant fault them!
To compare the 2 shows you how good the aircurves are for the money! I gave 350 for a mint set of three!

Then realised angling direct have the Aircurves at £209.99 so what a bargain I got.
About 6 weeks before lockdown I went into AD in norwich.
They had just marked down the 12ft 3.5 tc to £189.99
So I did a google to check other prices and no lowest price in the country. So being greedy and very lucky got a set of 3.
Now AD have them at £209.99
Then realised angling direct have the Aircurves at £209.99 so what a bargain I got.

Surprised greys still make them or do they? Thought the excelerate or whatever its called was meant to replace it.
I would go Freespirit
But I wouldn't bother with the flash ones I would go for S lites or whatever they are called now
The trouble with the flash ones is you get too worried about them and wrap them in cotton wool, and need to buy food for the massive rottweiler who looks after them
