Did anyone have a good look at one of these at the show and if so what are your thoughts, I mainly fish short sessions and have been thinking about getting the brolly for a while but it's trying to get a look at one in the flesh in the southwest.
Don't want to just order one because of the negative comments on here about it being on the low side but liked the idea of the vents on the new advanced.

It's essentially an aquatexx v2 brolly with vents all round, they looked identical size wise.
I bought the brolly, but it does look cheap compared to the advanced.

I did , seemed very low. I'd be worried about the 4 vents as well , trakkers previous record for quality for just 2 vents isn't great

I was kind of hoping that they had learned their lesson and changed the material for the mesh.

Not sure if there is a height difference between the advanced and the V1 brolly, I am 6.2” and using a ‘bedchair buddy' am able to fish comfortably on short/overnight sessions without the old bald head scraping the underside of the top. Having said that best to satisfy yourself by looking at one in the flesh (hopefully with a bedchair under it).

What surprised me is its 12.6kg with everything opposed to the full bivvy which is 10.5kg.
I ordered one for 460 with skull cap but when I found that out I just went for the full bivvy as 2 vents is plenty for me

That's a lot of weight for something that is smaller than the bivvy, but a good price with the scull cap included.

I had a good look at it at the show and yes it looks very low. I'm 6'3 and was supprised at the head room i had while sat inside, although the door is quite low when getting out. The vent mesh looks to be better quality aswell.
Still not convinced on getting rid of my fast and light for one but will wait until the are some tried and tested reviews.

That is much to heavy for a brolly and the four vents is just over kill. I bet there is a lot of added extra weight just in the vents.
It's supposed to be a brolly. It's now more like a small bivvy system.
I think the designers got a bit muddled with this one.
I am still using the Mk 1 and love it. Three pegs and I'm fishing.

I thought I'd get one as I wanted rear vents for summer so sold my v2 brolly and was looking yesterday and thought I might as well get the bivvy as little bit more space and plenty of head room. Nah, it's the consumers getting confused in this case imo.

For those that want a light brolly (like you and me) we have the Tempest Brolly. For those that want to sacrifice some of that weight for bells and whistles you have the Advanced.
It's all about what the users priorities are. There are now options to suit all of us.
People are complaining about the weight, but its definitely worth it.

Between the Tempest Brolly, Advanced, Bivvy, 100T, 150, 200 etc etc we now have an option for literally everyone. Add to those all the gubbins (skull caps, wraps, utility fronts) and the options are many. You can bodge almost anything out of them from overnight brolly to long session palace.

I got my brolly advanced today. Did my homework on them before and glad I got it.
I'm not tall, so suits me for what I need.
How can people moan about a bit more weight, hardly a big % in relation to everything else we take
