Can anyone recommend this bedchair . My avid benchmark from 2016 has finally given up on me and need a replacement by next friday. I only want the bed not the sleep system as i prefer sleeping bag.

I have one... Super comfortable (next level comfort in fact) but crazy heavy.

weight does not bother me I'm more interested in comfort and it does look very comfortable.

I've got one and it is unbelievably comfortable, it's the most comfortable bedchair I've had by a long long way. Downsides are it is a big lump and very, very heavy and the legs are very long. I've modified mine and chopped them down by a couple of inches. I have the sleep system and the bags it comes with are great, very warm with both of them on and very light with plenty of room. I'd be very surprised if you can find one that is more comfortable if I'm being honest.....

do you sleep direct on top of the matress (cant stand that) or is there part of the sleep system always underneath you

The sleep system goes underneath you, it all zips off so you can clean it. It's slidey material not fleece which is much better. There's loads of videos on YT that show you what its like....

Just ordered one from Tackle UK for £399 delivered It's going to be here by Wednesday. I cannot wait to try it out. I had my avid memory foam bed since it came out so nearly 10 years and it's been surprisingly reliable for an avid product.. A couple of weeks ago though the middle leg brace snapped clean in half. I still used it for the last two trips but it was like sleeping in a hammock lol.

Had exactly the same happen on my benchmark lite, but to be fair that was ultra lightweight aluminium, the whole bed was only 6.5kg. Was really comfy though.

Great bit of kit, yes heavy but super comfy….. on mine now😁 best sleep on a bedchair I have had

Used it for the first time last night it was fantastic it was very comfortable. I lkke the fact the is zero sag in the middle and can sit on it without out getting back ache. I really the hight of it too it was alot easier getting on and off and added more storage space underneath.

you got the system or just the bed

I've just ordered the matching SP ctech bed chair buddy/Combi seat, As I got fed up with getting soaked in the door way of my Tempest when sat directly infront of the bed.

I just got the bed I prefer sleeping bag to a sleep system. I use gardner carp duvet with it.

Anyone find the sleep system cold? I fished all winter in Myn and my knees or back would be like ice. Hot water bottle sorted the problem and I can see its benifits in summer but defo be going for a sleeping back ontop for the ultimate bed next winter.

Always found the bags on sleep systems to be poor. I always use a separate bag so you can pick which ever bag you want then.

I can see what you mean, I never felt super super cold in mine over the winter, but it did seem colder than I expected given the physical bulk of the two bags it comes with.

In the end I used my old fox thermal cover over the top and ever since it's felt toasty warm, including last week when there was still a frost about.

I agree until ive just had the new trakker mf els sleep system and the bag is so warm its far warmer than my old fortis bag but i was never actually cold really in that either

That's the one thing I've always said about my trakker oval MF HDR, the sleeping bag is superb and the best I've owned, it's a proper system though with an underside so you get a proper sleeping bag and not just a top layer that zips to the bed.

Yeah i love my new one,stupidly comfy and warm.It actually makes blanking a pleasure

im going for just the sp tech and pairing it with a fox ventec all season for this reason

Ive had loads of beds over the years indulgence, trakker els lumbar but since I got the sp c tech ive not looked back in fact I now have two the standard one and a sleep system as was a great deal (both the older model) and I genuinely cant see why Id change - my pal has the latest version with memotry foam which is higher and heavier - but for me I dont see the need for the new version

I use a SIM (always have) and think they are a game changer - the SS is fine most of the year but I pair it with an old trakker or cotswold throw in depths of winter and the standard bed I use through the summer with a techlite bag and absoloutely love them

orderd this bed today and a fox ventec all season too, 10% off with tft.....thought id get in before they put the prices up before the bank holiday sales
