To add to below..Carp sounder age one pro alarms look the nuts, made in Germany. Lots of functionality and there is a video of them working underwater. Very tempted indeed. I am not a fan of new app/blue tooth ones, the heads howver can be adjusted via the remote.

I am starting to think these companies are all battling to make the most hideous looking alarm possible.

The carp sounder ones are border line for me. That said when the rx plus came out I think alot also thought they were horrible. Now do I switch in my foxes for some sounders lol

I think that list should be split into roller and those with Vibe/roller, it's not like for like.
For me, the price Fox charge for a roller alarm is scandalous, and yes, I bought them, but I wouldn't buy again. I'd rather try a newer company or 1 hit wonder, in my case Wolf, or if plain roller it'd be a much cheaper set than RX+. I used Fox for 25 of 30 years fishing, no more, unless they change!

I see some Alarms can now be linked to a Bivvy light. (Alarm goes off light comes on)
Can anyone make any recommendations for a such pair of alarms..?
Got TXI+ and TBH for the money could be better but then i suppose perhaps the tech wasn't there back then.

look at sonik alarms they have that feature and come with bivvy light that can be set to illuminate when you get a run

I have a set of the sks2 also. Great little alarms and bivvy light is a good feature.

Sonik SKS2's are cracking alarms and the bivvy light works really well and can be used instead of or as well as the receiver as it also has a speaker in it, lights up in the middle, whichever colour alarm has activated it.
That said, I do think the new Avid VTX+ look good and would defo go for these over RX+ for both looks and size. I think the spec is almost identical on both of these alarms and the VTX+ sets are a fair bit cheaper too.

What are the Wolf alarms like? I saw them at rhw Big One a few years ago when they were 1st released and was put off by the price and size at the time (plus they were new with very few user reviews). One of my ATTs is playing up again (they got serviced and fixed by Dalectronics last year) so considering a new set

The size didn't bother me, function over form and iirc they're not much bigger than the old DXR/LXR, so for those of a older generation nothing new, but in a world of shrinkage who knows, they're considerably bigger than a RX+.
I've only used them on 3 day sessions, there always seems to be something though, and in my case it's the stupid anti theft quack on turn off, and I actually think the minimum volume is too high, I like mine really quiet. Easily avoided, thumb over speaker hole on switch off, and heads on silent. The latter means having to use the sounder which is a pain but hey ho, the sounder has a lower minimum...odd..if the same speaker in the heads.
Can't fault the alarms in use, I like mine very sensitive but I've only used them on 2mm yet, not the vibe, if I go Piling I'll try the vibe.
Had a couple of niggles, receiver latching LED was intermittent on 2nd use, a factory reset sorted it though, and I couldn't adjust 1 of the heads remotely when it got windy and it started beeping, in the end I just turned the dial on the head. When I got home I did a factory reset on the head and it worked on testing. It's early days but I like them and with a 4 year warranty I don't have to worry for a while. The comms from Wolf were fantastic when suggesting the reset. I spoke to Dal (Daletronics) he said he'd service if out of warranty but he'd only worked on 1 so far. I bought a Qi 3 set Hubb and then a Qi 3 set QR as I couldn't find a single head anywhere, so now if something goes wrong with a head I have a spare one in the meantime, I sold the rest on. I picked both sets up cheaply from TFT. Edit, They don't like rechargeable Lion batts.

Can't say I've noticed much difference T but I always have mine on the highest tone. I don't have my RX+ to compare anymore. They'd wake the dead on full volume 🤣

With a 4 year warranty, the excellent customer service & prices, it's not a big risk
I saw some bloke selling Qis, think it was £80 each 2nd hand, might as well buy new, think I hit my 3Qi/QR set for £299 from TFT but much prefer the Hubb.
