I'm looking for a lightweight, quick and cheap(ish) brolly system with good enough build quality to last.
I have seen a few threads on the forum from 2 -3 years ago as new products are coming out all the time, I thought people on here may have found better alternatives since then.
It's only going to be used for day sessions in the winter open fronted so will want a removable front to make it lighter and overnighters in the summers with the front on.
I won't even be using a bedchair for the overnighters just a reclining chair, so internal space isn't massively important.
I'm 6'3 so looking for as much height as possible.
I've done some research and put a list together, I'm hoping people will be able to suggest better options or provide pros / cons or reasons to avoid etc for the below.

Hi mate
I have the solar undercover and the 100T. The solar brolly is a fab bit of kit.. light and goes up easy as you can leave all the poles attached. Only my opinion but it's a spring summer and autumn only brolly. Not sure i would want to be out in it in winter!!!
For me the 100T ticks every box and this is all I use even for weeks in France. A bit heavy but worth it . I'm 6 foot and pretty big , my bed is the solar mk2 and fits a treat. With the skull cap fitted you have a water tight, no condensation brolly. It really is basically a bivvy. 👍

If you're only doing days then the solar brolly would be perfect. I've never had any issues with mine to be honest. I love mine and I've been out in some horrendous weather and it has been spot on.

Never had any issues with my Solar Undercover, good bit of kit. I just put my unhooking mat on the top in the winter.
Hopefully the Solar will go on offer somewhere with a bit of luck. I'll keep looking online.
Again, a bit more pricey like the Tempest but has anyone got any experience with Aqua Ultralite 100?
The material seems to be a lot thicker and comes with everything for just over £400.

I have the Solar and the Ultralite. I use the Solar much more often.
The ultralite is not a brolly. Its heavy even without carrying all the accessories and pack down is nearly 2m long. You have to use two sets of storm poles that you cannot keep attached and it's no good if you need to face into a wind.

I just purchased a Tempest 100T as a simple day shelter since getting old I am feeling the cold more and wanted something easy and quick to put up and down, gives excellent protection without having to bend double to get in and out.
It packs down nicely, smaller than my 3 rod 10ft retractable rod holdall.
Very pleased with it, the height and stability are great and wish I had bought one earlier.

I picked up an ESP brolly in 52" for days, its half the weight of every brolly you've listed (plus i've done a couple of nights under it). Brolly also goes into quickdraw quiver so all rods and brolly kept together neatly.
Head clearance will depend on what chair you are using, i have a few but for mobility i tend to use a Korda chair which means head clearance is no issue whatsoever, i'm 6ft tall.
You don't need acres of room for day kit, just enough to squeeze under and chuck a rucksack under, i do try and carry my kit rather than bother with the barrow so the weight saving is important.

There's a Fox Retreat Full Brolly system for sale in the classies. Although I'm the seller I couldn't recommend this brolly highly enough. Only reason I'm selling is I prefer the space in my frontier XD.

Having looked at the Aqua more it seems the weight and size of the bag is an issue.
I think it's between the Solar or the 100T + the front panel.
I'll keep an eye out on online for any sales and go with whichever I can get the best deal on.

I have had a solar undercover for a couple of years. Great bit of kit. The centre boss button does stick sometimes but you get the knack of how much pressure to put on it so it goes down first time. I use mine in winter without the front on, not for everyone but I have a good bag and bedchair. I rarely put the front on tbh.

I've had the pro-logic C 65 for 2-3 years and I always seem to come back to it, I'll go back to my Tempest brolly for a session then get annoyed at the restricted view of the water and not having anywhere to hang stuff and go back to the pro-logic. I really like it and you can't beat it for the price. I like the centre peak and the view you get from it without the front on is brilliant. I really have no complaints, it comes with everything and even though it's only 8000hh, it's never leaked. I've been out in all sorts of weather and it's held up just fine. If I broke it tomorrow, I'd definitely buy another one...

I have found a Tempest 100 bivvy (complete system) for sale that's unused for a good price. I think this is only 100mm bigger width and depth than the 100T.
I see the skull caps and cap wraps are still available for the 100T in the matching 10000mm material but can't seem to find this for the 100 bivvy, I can only find skull cap wraps in ev aquatex which are very expensive.
Did Trakker make the skull cap wraps for the 100 bivvy in 10000mm material?

I have had the both the 100 and 100t, and the skull cap was interchangeable.
Im talking about the older shelters, not the new stuff.

I've done a bit more digging and I think you can only get the skull cap for the 100 bivvy, the only skull cap wrap that fits is the Aquatexx EV wrap which are going for silly money.
