I have been using a trakker tempest v2 for the last 8 years served me very well but looking to upgrade to a new one as it's looking worse for wear now. What's people's recommendations for something a simalr size as found it perfect really. Also are materials on the the newer v2 as good as the old ones. Thanks
I was in your position too and found a tempest air v2, basically the same size but aquatex material

I have both the nylon and aquatex model. Unless red hot I take the nylon system. Lighter drysquicker. But my aquatex model has four windows and in hot weather makes a difference. If my nylon model had Windows I'd get rid of the aquatex one.

T dont make them anymore and from what I've read the newer versions are very expensive in comparison. The Fox Frontier Lite has been on offer lately, well worth a look. I'm not in the market as my V2 Air is still o.k but I believe Sonik offer something comparable, hopefully someone can confirm.

Thanks people I will have a look at these, as well as the trakker tempest 100. So many to choose from now days and never had any problems with my old tempest.

Why not get a 'newer' V2? Quite a few up for sale that look decent and they seem to be holding value!

I was using a tempest 100, nylon, and managed to find another but with the rear vents.
A great, solid, compact bivvy, and with the skull cap it's the best option.

Does the newer tempest 100 not come with vents then? I know the rs does but don't want to pay £600-700 for a bivvy. Also will my scull cap off my tempest v2 fit the tempest 100?

My V2 Bivvy Skull cap is from an Advanced 100 (and fits perfectly) so I'm assuming it should be all good?

Okay great thanks. Seen this on total fishing tackle and already have a skull cap that will fit. So will probably go for another tempest.
