Hi all,
Looking for a pair of salopettes - I've a 36 inch leg. 6ft 6 and slim, so I wouldn't want to buy XXL.
I tried the Fortis Tundra ones at the Big One and they came up to mid shin.
Anyone found any options that are warm and for long legs?!
Happy to pay a bit more for right pair.

The Snugak Sleeka salopettes are longer than the Tundras fella. I'm 6'4 and the Snuggys in L were more than long enough for me. Not waterproof like that Tundras, but defo as warm imo.

I have a pair of the snugpak ones for sale as they're too long for me(5'10") if you're interested?

The Snugpaks won't be long enough for you mate.
I'm "only" 6' 4" with a 34" inside leg, and while they are just about ankle length when I'm standing up, as soon as I sit down, they're calf length.
I'm sure you know exactly what I mean!
I also have trouble with getting tops/coats of all kinds long enough in the body and arms.
Have you found any fishing brand or otherwise that fits the longer angler"

Really? What size did you get?
I'm 36 inside leg and they were easily long enough in L.
Maybe it's a case of Snuggys notoriously inconsistent sizing striking again?

Hello mate, exactly this - when sat down, and I do like to sit and watch the lake on my chair and not freeze.
To be honest, the only brand I've found that works for my height is North Face.
I've a fortis tundra fleece which is a good fit.
And a Nash winter jacket that is pretty good on fit.
But like you've said, it is always the bottom halve that is a nightmare for being tall.
Anyone any other salopette or bib/brace warm ideas?!

6ft8 here barefoot or was might be shrinking, self proclaimed tallest form member , until proven otherwise,🤣 because I have decent posture I always get mistaken for 6ft10+
I've got some tracker salopettes I just buy double XXL and they are still too short lol, bit like cars none of them will ever be ideal

Alternative thinking.....why not but some thermal gaiters to make up the short coming on the leg length to boot/shoe. Not 'Carpy' but then you won't be restricted to leg length (within reason) and will be able to buy a waist that 'suits you sir'

Cheers mate for posting. I've had a look for thermal gaitors online, but can only see the standard non thermal ones, are you able to put a link up please mate? Not bothered about cost if they do the job. And not bothered how un-carpy the look, just so long as they keep these long limbs warm!

Hi Mate, I'm out and about, on my phone, links are difficult. Try searching gaiters with fleece, snow, arctic or Primaloft before it, you should find them, even in green. Let le know if you're struggling and I'll find some links when home 👍

Quick update that will hopefully be useful for anyone tall and wanting salopettes:
Vass - thermal stopped mid shin so you can buy their boots (looks a good combo, but still not ideal for long legs with the gap).
Snugpack - warm but quite baggy
Fortis - to my shin
Korda Polar - I love them, long in the leg, warm, long up the back too. They aren't waterproof but that's fine for me as I'll wear waterproofs as and when needed.
Being so tall and sat with trousers etc always riding up, these are great.
Quick update that will hopefully be useful for anyone tall and wanting salopettes:

Hi. Bit of a long shot but.. see if you can track down some Swedish Army Winter trousers. Nicely padded & v v toasty. Full length HD side zips with elasticated hems & waist. They're fitted well but also have buttons if you want to use a yoke/Braces system. They're also quite long in the leg! Just had a look... they're Swedish M90 trousers. Not as cheap as they were though..
