I've had no issues with them either. I bought a skull cap off them for my Trakker MB Composite, and my lad has had an overwrap for an oval brolly for donkeys years and it's still fine.
And there's loads of people on here who reckon it comes out of the same factory as Trakker gear as can be seen in various posts.

Bought the Base HQ with overwrap around 5 years ago and it's done what it's supposed to do well.Only gripe is the height,whacked my napper a few times getting into it 
If they increased the height,made the groundsheet zip in,I'd buy another without hesitation.

Got 2 sleeping bags (never used the oversized magnatex 3-5 season sleeping bag) and 2 bivvys and all products are fantastic.

Their stuff is decent and yes it did come from the same factory as Trakker and Aqua before Trakker moved to their own factory to prevent this. My Typhoon skull cap came in a Trakker box.
I have had some items over the years that have been great. The issue came with the ripstop bivvies, after about 6months they start disintegrating. The little pin holes inbetween all the ripstop squares start to open up until you have a giant leaking bivvy. The seams them peel away and they leak as well. I have a load of pics and video of mine which I tried to get swapped or refunded within the 12 months warranty. This happened right before they went bust. I was ignored after raising the issue for a month while they continued to sell, and Mark down prices over the month before they completed closed the website and their email. It appeared there were so many people with the same issue that Cyprinus couldn't keep up with the returns which is what ultimately made them collapse.
Looking at the new owners, it appears they are selling the same bivvies, whilst I can't see the words 'ripstop' in the typoon DPM description, you can clearly see in the pics that they are ripstop. So if you are going to buy anything in DPM I would seriously consider your choice and definitely check if it is Ripstop because if it is the same bivvies as before, honestly do not waste your money. The plain green maybe OK I don't know, I'm not a cyprinus hater before anyone suggests, I loved the Aqua carbon compact copy, thought that was brilliant, just a shame this ripstop material was so bad.

I guess it's all about the required mark up to cover costs and make some profit to put back into the company to continue to advertise, innovate (someone had to come up with the designs), employ (their are a lot of people employed directly by the tackle companies and indirectly through tackle shops), provide good customer service etc
On the other hand if you are just selling cheap copies (aka Fred in a shed set up) at low margin you are reliant on volume of sales to keep going.
Which business model would you pick for long term sustainability ?
It's very easy for us to sit here and accuse the established companies of profiteering without grasping the costs.

I've had an MH Typhoon for a few years now and can't fault it for the money, yep, you could argue Trakker gear is overall better but when you pick up a bargain and save a lot compared to a Trakker product surely you can't grumble.

I had a green Typhoon MH, not the best quality imho, it faded very quickly, I had to get uprated poles for the peak and storm poles as they wouldn't stay tight and i found the ribs a bugger to get apart. Got a Frontier XD now which I'm more than happy with.

your spot on i bought the first typhoon and still using it in the summer months, is bang on its the aquatex material.been perfect, i also bought the MH in the ripstop its dog**** ,like a collender,after about 6 months started leaking , i have the cap wrap for it so im ok, asoon as the bars snap ,il be in the market for a new house, but £800 plus for a trakker rs no thanks
