Looking to purchase a rucksack for stalking , liked the look of the Greys prodigy but will consider anything.

I live my Thinking Anglers ruck sack. The perfect size for me when I am down the park lake, holds my tackle, alarms, bait and food for the half day sessions I tend to do. The back is also well padded so I find it comfortable to carry to and from the lake

I use a Saber 40 litre for day sessions. It's comfortable and has plenty of pockets. I've been using it for a couple of years now and not had any issues with it.

The prodigy is a great rucka -can carry loads. Maybe bit big for stalking.
The thinking anglers are too small for me- internals not big enough. They should do a few more sizes in range IMO.
Have a look at carper tackle 50 litre ones-they are really good value.

i have a pretty much brand new one of these
the build quality is insane nuclear strike proof
only "issue" is you may want to cut out the internal dividers to give one space (im toying with doing this)
side pockets are clever as well in that you can put sticks behind them etc.

They are good quality but not comfortable all they have is a small piece of foam thought being army they would have done a better job tbh

Look at the Drennan specialist range - I use the 20L Roving bag for floater fishing and river trotting / stalking in the summer and the 40L Compact Rucksack for Barbel - both are ideal as they have clips to attached the Drennan quick draw unhooking mat to / a quick access top section and additional straps for waterproofs etc

The drennan and esp rucksack is the most comfortable rucksacks I've ever owned and I've had a few in the last 40 years

I've found a Bassdash backpack on Amazon , tbh is looks very good , does anyone own any of their gear.? I'll look at the Drennan range.
Well I looked at all the suggestions , thanks for everyone that made suggestions, I went for the Grey's prodigy in the end , yes it's expensive but it's got everything I wanted and more.

Granted it's not small but it's not huge either.

Do not worry about a bag being too large, they are better if they are especially with a large compartment. When its time to move and you need to be in a hurry, you can just ram stuff in quick into the main compartment without having to pack things away folded and carefully so it fits.
I use "Alice Packs", the large and the medium and find them ideal especially the large one as it has 6 pockets on the outside with a very large inside compartment, the medium only has 3 outside pockets and a 4th in the top flap.. But they can be pricey, I was lucky as I used them in the army and kept mine.
