Hi guys looking for recommendations for the best flat style mats Nash scope opps, thinking anglers Cotswold Aquarius type.

I had a Born n Bred mat but have recently gone back to the Thinking Anglers mat.I like the waterproof base,the fish sink into the mat and its very well made

I've got the Aqua Atom Self-inflating one and I quite like it. The TA one is brilliant though too.

Had thinking angler and Cotswold MK2, sold ta and kept Cotswold MK2, they also do a bigger version in the monster beany Matt .

Aqua Combi Mat is tried and tested.
I'm biased towards beanie/hybrid beanie foam mats, my preference.
Not bothered about pack up size, the Cotswold Monster Beanie or Army Andy, no question, ultimate padding and size, can be customised. Poly balls can be replaced on the CQ, IIRC and they're bagged or can be inside. Over the years I've found poly balls can detereorate I assume with UV though could be rubbing together or both, and being in a bag means they can be replaced or topped up and I assume they have less surface area to hold water. I can't remember if AA are the same but I'm sure they can be made how you want...however, I Contacted Army Andy in 2019 he said he was considering not making them anymore due to the silly cost increase in the foam (not sure if that's still the case).
If you're thinking about European use too the Cotswold Monster Poly can be joined together if requested customised at order. I enquired because of the odd 50+ Grass or Cat. Never took it any further as haven't been abroad since 2019 but I'm considering it again now.

Larger fish, say over 30lb. I prefer to have at least half the fishes width over and under, just what I'm used to, and even with a beanie they can still move diagonally and that doesn't leave much room.
I'd get a Cotswold Monster Beanie if expecting bigger U.K fish and a spare for abroad.

They look amazing. Unsure if can be purchased any longer. They're mahoosive too. Got an unused one in DPM if the person who started the thread is interested.

The flat mat I purchased off Andy was years ago so don't know if it's the same mat as this thread is talking about
