Yes...
I use Bioethanol sometimes
And ,sticks on the ground ,I use a lixada stick stove that uses a trangia burner as a wet weather back up and UCO ,grill ,fire pit a lot...and before the thought police have a go ,both are used sensibly off the ground on stones to stop any marking or grass,or worse a wildfire. But yes ,I use free fuel on those..

I've tried the usual fuels for the Trangia burner but usually end up going back to gas with the gas burner to get away from the soot. Even the EKOFUEL bioethanol I've seen recommended as clean burning covers the pots, then your hands black.
Is there a liquid or gel fuel that burns soot free Wandle?

Honestly, I haven't found one fuel ,that is that burns clean..
But they say or some full on B,crafters I go with now and again is to put washing up liquid on the pan bases let it dry a bit and when you use it next it's meant to come off offski, easier..
But myself ,if you look at my 30 yr old 27 ul in my avatar, it looks mint on the outside and inside of the windshields that's autosol,anyway I embrace the blackness,I just make sure the inners ,of the frying and other cooking pots are clean,I use warm water,n grass ,I'm not a bit bothered about black exterior as its provenance, part of lots of fishing ,and hidden camps on moors..just wipe the exterior of the pots ,with free ,non product grass and leave,put away til next micro adventure..
Frying pan ,wipe the base of with cooking oil let it dry ,buff it up to a shine ,job done...
I tried gas,...I lost kudos ,and membership of the Trangia massive for that misdemeanour..

I'm not fussed about the pans being black. As you say, they look well used. It's my coal miner hands the next day at work. They are as much of a giveaway as the Heathrow flight path on phone calls that you've been fishing when you should have been working

mines been picked and packed and out for delivery with evri 🤦 today,so there's still a chance I may not recieve it with then clowns delivering it

ive had the 27 kettle for years
i think i could get the spirit burner and the 25 shield and fine
but have to buy them separate as i dont need all the pots and pans really

I did ask them that on the phone, but they said there was no point as they had no stock. Funny state of affairs, but I'm not losing sleep over a stove.

I love the silence and simplicity and of course on a cold windy day the Trangia excels just put the opening towards the wind
when I use to do all my long French trips my Trangia was just for my tea and coffee freeing up my double burner for food and hemp cooking
