Cutting a long story short....
Ordered a pair of shorts on June 5th, arrived later that week, the shorts were too big, so called to arrange a return and exchange on 9th, was told someone would call me back as the mailorder side didn't have a working telephone. Called back on 13th and 14th and was told the same and was asked to email them, which I did. Called again and was told to post them back for an exchange. Posted back by recorded delivery on 18th which were signed for on 21st, nothing received so called on Friday 24th, spoke to a Louis, who promised a call back - no call. Spoke to Louis again today who was going to call me back "shortly" at 12 today, guess what - no call again!
I know a £40 pair of shorts isn't exactly order of the century, but seriously!! I certainly won't be making any large orders or come to think of it, any orders with them again! Blame covid, blame the post or the couriers, but a phone call costs nothing

I thought that was pretty cheap for some shorts 🤣 maybe not for fishing but every day use £40 is very cheap compared to some Lol

I'll never use Hull Angling again. Had a delivery not turn up and they took no interest at all in trying to help with the courier. In the end had to get my money back through pay pal. Very poor customer service.

Personally never had any bother, used countless times over the years, even call in occasionally, the shop apart from boxes of stuff everywhere always had good service.

I bought a marker pole through Amazon off Hull Angling Centre. The item was faulty and it was impossible for anyone to take ownership of this at HAC. I did finally get a refund, but the customer service was utterly dreadful. I won't be using the again for anything.

You can get a decent pair of shorts on Vinted for a fiver to knock about on the bank with.
Thing is, I don't fish puddles, so you need to have your head examined if you're attempting to crawl through nettle infested paths in a pair of 40 quid skidders. Plus, your Rudgeminkey spoons will be knocking against your calf muscles which sat on the bed....

I once bought a aqua over wrap from them and they sent it without poles... i realised as soon as i tried to set it up they were missing and contacted them. They swore blindly that it didn't come without poles and just wouldn't have it... was constantly fobbed off with excuses when i rang.
Ended up speaking with aqua direct who were great (i had a friend who had worked there in the past who had a word in advance) and they sent me a set of the poles FOC and said they would sort it with Hull.
Never thought anything off it again until about 2 months after when i got a email through with a invoice for the poles from Hull.
Deleted it and they never chased

I've bought from them numerous times and until recently, they've always been spot on.
My recent issue was resolved eventually, but the time it took and more importantly, the lack of communication on their side made it much more difficult than it needed to be. Definitely put me off using them again in the future.
