I know there has been lots of threads on 10ft rods but looking for some up to date feed back .
I have limited time to fish mainly over night .
I'm looking at scaling my tackle right down to keep in the car .
The rods I'm considering are
Daiwa crosscast ex tt 3 1/2
Nash dwarf 31/4
Sonik insurgent 3lb on offer so around the price of the other two
Or are there others I should consider for around the same price

The sonik insurgent is a great rod for price knocks spots off anything Nash has to offer lots of deals around in 2 or 3 rod set ups 3llb tc would be a good choice

I'm using Shimano TX 2 in 10ft 2.75. Can't fault them. Had an 18 on at the weekend that pulled them right round but no issue in handling the fish. Steered it well away from its snaggy home.
Was flicking a small bag out 15-30 yards no problem but wouldn't like to push any further.

The top 3 inches is stronger lol

Not sure if Nash have sorted that problem out
That turned me away from them as I did actually see it happen on a rod straight out of the wrapping so not hearsay..

Good evening mate I've got a set of three 10ft avid rods i got them for a small water i fish and they are spot on and was really cheap yet fantastic value could be worth taking a look at the range next time your in your local tackle shop

The Gardner 10 foot rods are good. Had a set of three since they came out. Excellent rods, but don't know how they compare cost wise to the others.

As an alternative option I have been using a set of CTX 10ft 3.25tc for a while now on a small estate lake and found them to be great fun for playing fish and casting small bags, as an aside they are also very pleasing on the eye👍👍

They're all made in a similar setting from similar materials, the same as any manufactured product it's as good as it's components. Nash have higher spec fittings, probably not in line with the price increase, so charge for a premium product.
The new fox copy of Nash's idea retails at about 300 quid
You could get Cotswold or chiltern rods to custom build something ‘better' for less.

I now have the Daiwa Cast'izm 10ft 3Lb cork, last year I had the Nash dwarf 10Ft 3 lb cork, still miss them sometimes could cast up to 95yards with them and the fish playing was very nice (7 guides) I also tried the Sonik extractors for 1 day but they are stiffer.

Just got a 2nd hand pair of Nash Scope 3.5 SU in Cork which are the latest version you could pass off as new for £250 came with a quiver and the rod sleeve protectors.
Great rods but didn't want to pay full wack which is £199 each I wanted a set up nice light and compact and that's perfect.
Overall I preferred the quality and spec against dwarf and Insurgent Rods when I did my homework just my preference

Sounds like a great result. I've not used any of the rods you were looking at but really rate my 3lb 9ft scopes. Price is the only downside but they're light, supple and can cast a long old way with the right technique.

Cheers...It started by buying a scope stalking rod so I can float fish with a 10ft 2.25 a couple of months a go as new!! It was a game changer for me...
I then went further to get the previous mentioned!! Time will tell as I have great sets of rods up to 13ft which I'm thinking may become obsolete!
I cringed firstly as when I started out in the 70's my first rod was a telescopic rod great for travel but they werent great!!

I've on my second set of 10ft 2.25tc scopes, use them for speci tench, Bream, barbel, canal and close in on venues that aren't snaggy. Had 3.5tc but got rid quickly as I much prefer a lo ger rod with that much power.

First set we're still usable but most of the Cork had gone and they were battered but I broke 18 inches off one so replaced them.

Not relevant to the original posters question but I thought I'd mention that I'm still more than happy with my TFG compact carp 2.5lb 10 footers.
I have quite a few hard fighting mid doubles and low 20s from a lake with deep margins and seeing the rod take on a full curve as the fish surge away is a pure joy. I don't like short beefy rods as it kills the feel.
They can still chuck large solid bags to 50+ yards and a singe bait to 70+

They are great rods I had a set of 3 from go outdoors and got them cheap as I worked there but sadly had a very nasty split and left them with my ex

There's one being auctioned on ebay, £15 at the moment plus £10.68 postage. Auction finishes in 2 days.
They make nice floater rods especially if space is a bit tight.

I bought tackle box cfx 10ft carp rods lovely rod, lovely finish too they are around 150£ but got a lifetime warranty which I think is good if you ever had any issues. They are worth looking at mate
