No you have to use an Aquatic MSG as purchased from Feed Stim the MSG purchased from Asian shops is no use until it has been repackaged and the price increased 10 fold and sold to you by the bait ingredient experts.

In my neck of the woods, 250g of MSG costs 4.80quid from the asian shop, and 3.75quid + postage, from Feedstim
As i order quite afew ingredients off Feedstim on a regular basis, i get my MSG from Feedstim, minus the petrol cost to the asian shop
Gallon of juice costs 7.50quid

That was the cheapest, within a 10mile radius
BAF let me down BIGTIME
Wanted to purchase 150K basemix ingredients, but got given the run around, so i gave up in the end and bought elsewhere
None of my hard-earned will ever end up at BAF
Back to MSG, sort of
100g I+G costs me 17quid delivered
, but that´s enough for 1k of basemix

Back to MSG, sort of
£6.90 a kilo, free delivery on Amazon.

1kg MSG is enough for 100kg basemix
10g per kilo basemix
I use 4.9g MSG when using it with 0.1g I+G

Nucleotide enhancers. Very powerful. Tiny amounts only are needed.

Is there a full name to it? Or where are these Nukleotide enhancers available?
Edit: is it IMP+GMP we are talking about?

You don't even need 10g, as you use it, 5 g, can be plenty. all depends what else is in there

Depends on other taste enhancers like e.g salt fenugreek garlic? While were at it anyone got an opinion on Talin as a sweetner in a fishy savoury bait ?

even jewelery scales ( or drug dealers scales ) tend to not be hugely accurate, the best ones cost thousands.
Your best bet is to make upo a significant amount of mixture.
If you mix 10g of something, 20 of something else, and 70 of something else and use 1g of the resulting mixing you'd have 0.1g / 0.2g 0.7g etc

You could also consider Maggi seasoning which contains at least some of the these ingredients

unless drastically different particle sized it will be mixed very evenly if you take your time / empty into a bag and shake it like an unstable lunatic for two minutes.

If talin is the same as solar liquid candy sweetener the I add 1ml into a 12 egg mix that's fishy/savoury.

Talin is a trade name of thaumatin. A lot of proprietary sweeteners are reformulated every now and again. and have differing percentiles of this component. TALIN originally stood for tate and lyle industries.
Absolutely none of the talin / thaumatin / type sweeteners are having a significant percentage of thaumatin in them, its just too expensive to do, none of the ones claimed to have it in are priced to account for even a 5% inclusion from what I've seen. its actually used to round off the taste of other sweeteners as opposed to a standalone sweetener in itself.

Interesting article about protein sweeteners
https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/food-science/protein-sweetener
Coincidentally to this thread it mentions a synergy with MSG at low levels to enhance savoury meat and fish flavours.
