Looking for a light compact bed chair with a double hinge that allows the bag to be left in the bed chair

I use to have a trakker superlite that is very light and you can leave on the bag mate

Avid benchmark is what you want

The benchmark isn't light I had one for 3 years, the feet aren't great, and I'd retighten the elastic which caused the frame to bend over time. I fell in love with the Solar SP, being similar in weight yet superior quality, it's more expensive and worth every penny.

Think it's between

Trakker super lite
Wychwood tactical x 🤔

The Solar SP weighs 12.9kg, so might be too heavy to fit the brief? The Trakker Superlite is 7kg, almost half the weight of the Solar bed.

The avid is almost 10k. When u consider the Wychwood and Trakker are around 7k. It's a big difference. I've discounted both avid and solar

Just picked up a Wychwood Tactical X Compact (from Old Geezer) and its very compact (I also own the standard) - 6.5kgs and only 2metres long - ideal brolly bedchair.

I've got the Avid Benchmark lite and It's under 7kg without a sleeping bag, great bedchair IMO (had it around 2 years or so now) and can't get much lighter.

I see mixed spec on the avid lite. Some say nearly 10kg and some say just over 7kg 🤷‍♂️

The sleep system is around 10kg (ie with their sleeping bag attached) the bed on it's own is around 7kg as I weighed it when I bought it.

Replace the ropes with cable ties and you save about 250g, and it eliminates any sag too

I picked up a wychwood tactical bedchair. Although it's lightweight and a fairly decent concept It was let down by the use of cheap parts and the build quality. I noticed the frame had bent under quite minimal use so sent it back.

Whatever you decide, try before you buy with a bedchair. When I replaced my bedchair a few years ago, I'd narrowed it down to a couple - an Avid and Sonik one. But when I tried them, they were awful. Ended up getting a Trakker one, light and comfy, just what I wanted.

Try before you buy with bedchairs, what's good for one isn't necessarily good for everyone.

Anyone tried the advanta gear from angling direct? They do a super lite that looks decent comes in at 6.5k for only 120 notes

I looked at that one in the shop looked decent but went for the jrc as the mattress was a lot thicker and more padded around the edges 👍

I use the Tactical X, great bed, but with a 10cm sim on it, the double hinge allows the sim and Fortis bag to fold up in it.

The Wychwood bedchair is light but the locks on the legs are complete pony! Worth noting.......

Would that be the only negative.

I have the Trakker RLX Superlight, Wychood Tactical Compact and JRC X-Lite .... Trakker is the best of the lot but slightly bigger (7.5kg)

Check the new Solar underover pro (8.6 kg)

Agree - I have the standard (and now also the compact) and with a SIM its the comfiest bed I've owned

I think so, it's a comfy bed with a sim on it.......

Very happy with the tactical x. Yet to do a night on it but certainly a lot lighter than my old avid benchmark. I had to check the box make sure there was a bedchair in there
