Hi I'm looking for a 1 man plus size bivvy that's big enough to fit a nash wide sleep system and all my gear in and still have enough space to move around comfortably in and has enough headroom so i can sit upright on my bedchair (I'm 6 ft). That's quick to set up and pack down. That's reliable and good quality that I can use all year round in all weather and will last the test of time . That doesn't suffer to much from condensation and has good ventilation for summer.
My max budget is around £750 but change out of that would be nice.
Can any one suggest a bivvy that fits all of my above needs please?

I've been very impressed this last year with the Tempest 100t brolly. It fits my wideboy and all my kit and goes up and down fast. It's 150 high .
But you say you want a bit more room? A one man plus,
Then I suspect its the Tempest 150 for you. 145 high
But wider and deeper than the 100. I imagine goes up.and down just as fast as mine. Bit over budget. You can add a skull cap later when funds allow. I just got the cap and it packs up.and down just as quick.

I really like the look of the frontier xd and is packed full of extra features. Do any frontier xd users on here have any issues with condensation ? I currently have the typhoon and the poles are terrible on it.

They just kept on snapping. I must admit cyprinus customer service was really good though they replied to my emails really quick and sent replacement poles out next working day. Just looking for something more reliable now.

T1 titan will do everything you need. In it now actually. If you choose the Titan buy the heavy duty groundsheet. I have had no issues and it gets heavily used in all conditions.

Even my old Titan AS would get condensation inside with the front off, unless Nash have changed the material i'd imagine the same is true of the t1

You will get condensation in a single skin bivvy generally, moreso if you have the door done up. Something with h a skullcap will h op massively, or a wrap as long as the 2 layers dont touch. Any of the tempest range will be good, as will any of the titan range. Or you could buy a bivvy with built in shower and buy a fox

Never apologise for asking questions. It's the standard version I got it brand new on one of there lock down auctions with the front porch extension as a combo deal on there website in May 2020 not sure if they've updated them since then. I know they do a max headroom and a ripstop version now not sure if they are a better build quality though.

Does the inner capsule make a big difference? Would the xd be OK with just the vapour peak? As the inner capsule would take it out of my budget.

Not necessary but for me it's a plus, you do feel a slight difference in wind with or without the inner capsule but this won't make any difference in temperature but I hate insects (I have to watch out for mosquitoes because of my immune disease) usually I put the outside door in letterbox with the inner capsule door closed I don't suffer from unwanted insects and I have a good view at my fishing spot.

Thanks for your help. Gotta say at the moment Im leaning towards the frontier xd with the vapour peak more and more. But I wanna see all my options set up before I make a final decision I'm hoping my local angling direct has as many of them in stock as possible.

I have the XD with the vapour peak and mozzie infill and although I've only used it a few times over summer, I haven't seen any condensation. Fantastic bit of kit the Frontier XD and definitely a nice one man (plus a bit) sized bivvy. You will love the zip out windows in the warmer months and the pockets on each internal corner. If you are concerned about condensation you can pick up the overwrap and the inner capsule to give added separation between the layers, but the vapour peak will probably deal with most of it.

Perhaps If I'm being overly critical you may think for that kind of money that you should get two bed chairs in it? I have a Nash wideboy bed chair which is huge and because of it's flat back the chair fits well against it maximising your available space at the front.
It annoys me that the extras are very pricey, for instance the overwrap is £230. I'm hoping they bring out a social cap like you can get for the Tempest range.
I'm 6-2 and I can mooch around inside it just fine, it's well made with good quality materials, plenty of upgrade options, 165cm high at the door, and like I said the zippable windows are a god send in summer.
I'm delighted with it and you could do much worse in my opinion.

I get what you mean about the add ons but all the tackle companies seem to rip people off with add on prices and to be honest there are other companies that charge a lot more for the add ons. How long would you say it takes you to set up and pack down the xd? Also does the xd go back into the bag easily?

In terms of setup and pack down, its seconds to spread it out and erect in its basic position, it's the pegging down, putting the vapour peak on, changing the front panel, putting in the ground sheet etc which takes a bit longer but with everything I'd say about 10-15 minutes. In winter I use the wrap and I usually sleep with the doors open. I have no problem with condensation. I am sat in it now and have been most of the day. Got wet waterproofs in here, no problems.
Under certain conditions do I get a light film of moisture? Yes like every tent, bivvy or shelter on this damp little island.

Thanks for everyones help and advice after looking at all the bivvys in detail in my local tackle shop I decided to go with the fox frontier x with the vapour peak
