What b.s is everyone liking so much.I tried this line and did not really get on with it,it felt wiry and seemed to stand out in the water

i liked it in 15lb it does stand out in mid water but i found it sunk very well and a lot better than most other mono's i have used

I use it in 8, 15 & 18. Easily the limpest, memory free line I have used. Sinks really well, very abrasion resistant. It certainly doesn't feel wiry to me.
Stand out in the water? So do loads of other lines. It isn't fluorocarbon so isn't invisible (which fluoro is only until it collects floating detritus like any other line)
Just make sure you put it onto your spools the correct way (spool flat in a sink with some water. Wind on a few yards, stop and check the line isn't curling. If it is, turn the spool over).
Terminate the mainline using a Palomar knot and it is bulletproof.

I was a little dubious of the diameter so went with the .34mm but that's supposedly 21lb
Ps panander - is that 18lb rated or thickness of 18? Berkley don't list that as an option

I found it quite decent apart from for abrasion resistance,compared to the gr60 on my other spools it didnt even come close

Well I fish in waters with a lot of Norfolk reeds. The CM90 isn't touched by them at all where other lines I have tried get rather frizzy. My experience - can't comment on yours.

Agreed fantastic abrasion qualities in my experience, heavy weed, or Norfolk reeds in 15lb no line damage at all

No, I'm not looking at the US site, I'm going by berkleys uk site, but here begins the problems as I suspect angling direct and lots of people wrongly go by the "diameter of" that is also stated on the spools.

As with all lines, ignore the BS and go by the diameter. I've used the .38 rated as 15lb in the UK. Will clearly break much higher than 15lb but does behave well for a .38 line and I found it to be tough and cast pretty well for a heavy-ish mono

Berkley Connect CM70
12lb - breaks at 17.07lb 0.34mm, actual 0.32mm
15lb - breaks at 21.03lb 0.38mm, actual 0.37mm
Berkley Connect CM90
12lb - breaks at 15.27lb 0.34mm, actual 0.33mm
15lb - breaks at 19.29lb 0.38mm, actual 0.35mm
Best not to over estimate this....
For the record as GR60 has been mentioned..
Gardner GR60
12lb - breaks at 17.76lb 0.35mm, actual 0.34mm
15lb - breaks at 20.36lb 0.40mm, actual 0.39mm
