Hi All,
Can anyone recommend some waterproof breathable comfortable trainers please? (Don't want much lol)
After wearing my trainers yesterday it was still quite hot and then rained but the trainers do not breath and were just making my feet sweat and so uncomfortable!

I use North Face Gore Tex they are decent but they are not hard-wearing but very comfortable.

Nike do some waterproof trail trainers that are nice and comfy but I've not tested the waterproof ability

Adidas Terrex Swift R. Far and away the best ive had. Gortex and a lovely carpy green and black. Not cheap but id confidently say ill be wearing these for a good few years.

Are they comfortable to wear mate? I read a review saying they were a bit hard/uncomfortable and rigid?

Third the Swift R2, I got the mid boots. If you shop around you can get the slightly dodgy colourways for significantly less. I think I paid £115 for the boots. Had mine 18 months and they are like new.

I had a pair of the Adidas terrex goretex trainers,lasted 4 weeks,ripped across the bend in the foot,grips started to wear and peal away and the lining inside around the heal ripped in several places causing bad blisters...absolute garbage,sent then back and got a refund.

I know this is the second time you've mentioned this, but there must be something wrong if they lasted 4 weeks. If I could upload a photo, I would, to show how well mine have lasted over 18 months, they are literally like new.
Could it be that yours were fakes??
If this was a common thing, then surely it would come up in reviews etc.

I have got some Merrell at the moment and really rate them,I might look at the Adidas when mine need replacing.I only buy Adidas trainers as I find they last years

I will take a photo of my mates next weekend. He is the reason I got mine. His are three years old. He is in the RAF and his mum lives up in the Scottish highlands... His are mullered by heavy usage to be fair. Both fishing and hill walking. But his are still totally waterproof he says, and the soles like yours have barely worn at all.
Andy must have been terribly unlucky as I said to him on that other thread.

At a guess id say they were fake. Its common that virtually every bit of high end gear is copied these days.

Yes id agree that they are firm/rigid, that's what you want though for what they are designed for. They aren't meant to be moccasins. They are now worn in after a few weeks and id say they they have a little more give. I rate them highly.

old thread I know but someone else has had a nitemare with the terrex.
with regards to mine being fake,mine were bought direct from Adidas and a full refund direct off Adidas, they offered me 40% off my next pair after my refund which I declined.

I'm with you on this 1. My Terrex Goretex are over 2 years old and when cleaned look like new. The soles have hardly any wear on them. In contrast I had 2 pairs of Moabs, mega comfy but the worst wearing footwear I've ever owned. I bought the 2nd pair because I thought I may have just been unlucky, no, utter garbage.

La Sportiva TX4 GTX. You can even shin your way up a few cliffs in them if you're that way inclined.
