Thinking about getting one of these and wondering if any users would care to pass on their thoughts.
Expensive at £100 but I can pick it up for £80 so not too bad as it appears to be well made and well insulated with a good seal/zip.

Really rate mine,holds plenty,keeps things really cold for 48 hours easily and is very comfy to carry.I put in 4 bottles of frozen volvic flavoured water in mine as the ice blocks,one of the bottles was still half frozen on the Sunday afternoon.I put my snacks in a separate speero coolbag so I'm not opening the korda bag too much to get at my fruit.I paid the same for mine and would buy another tomorrow if I wrecked this one

Depending on your size limits, you could get a Coleman Extreme 50QT for same price. Keeps food fresh for days. Bit on the large size though. It's on wheels too.

I've recently looked at one in the shop.. definitely a well made item and would have bought one if it was slightly bigger.
Needed something for 3 days food and sadly that won't fit

I looked at them but still not keen on zips on a cool box and one that isnt hard plastic. I think every zip has now broke on my korda compac pouches. I got a dometic one in the end which was slightly bigger and has proper clasps and is solid plastic. Its even a proper dark green colour. Very impresses with it and the same price as the korda one. I bought a icy tec gel pack which fits in the bottom perfectly and keeps everything cold for days. Not keen on using frozen bottles as they take up to much room and there not that big to start with once your food and some beer is in there.

Take a spare smaller bottle to use to keep hydrated whilst pushing barrow around the lake.When that's running low take a frozen bottle out to defrost

Read what I said,you have already got a bottle that you are drinking from as you walk around looking for your swim.Taking a bottle out of a bag is a faff

Why is it a faf? It's not like you have to actually do anything to thaw other than leave it alone

How long does it take to thaw once you take it out the bag?
And once its out the bag, whats keeping the cooler cold?
I drink a lot of tea and i dont fancy having to have a special scedule drawn up for when i need to get the next bottle out the bag ready to make tea. So ill just stick to ice blocks and a water bottle.

EVEN the most expensive ice blocks are not as good as a frozen bottle of water in keeping your cooler cold
and you dont HAVE to drink it
but you can make the journey back to the car at the end of the session by tipping the water out if you dont want to drink it

I dont drink hot drinks at all so it's no issue for me but having an ice cold drink of lemon and lime flavoured water on a red hot day is heaven.I take four 1.5 litre bottles so when take one out I still have three keeping it cold but I'm taking food out throughout the day so have less to keep cold so it balances out nicely

Using Square bottles rather than cylindrical makes them pack better so takes up less space.

I've had one of these for about 9 month. They are fantastic. Much better than your normal carp coolbags. Perfect for 48 hours of food and a 4 pack. They are quite pricey but very well made and do the job.

I'm happy with my Argos hard plastic coolbox yep if I need to keep things cool for longer sessions I just stick a 2 litre bottle of frozen water in it.
And if I need it to be carpy I could get some camo tape for a fiver.
It seems a lot of money to me with our very short summers.
Though each to their own 👍🏼

Out if interest why does frozen water last longer than a frozen ice block. If that's the case why don't they put water instead of gel into ice blocks?

It's not to do with the gel or water, it's just the ice inside water bottles are thicker than the slim cool packs, so take far longer to defrost

I've got the Dometic 22l one
I couldn't be happier with it, still had ice after 5 days
For ice blocks I bought 4 bottles of bleach, emptied and washed out the bottles and filled them with water
I had 4 in mine and they had almost thawed out by the 5th day but it still stayed cold for a further 2
Tried to keep opening it to once or twice a day
Very well made and robust

Only ever seen good reviews but time will tell. There was just to much to wrong with the korda one for me. Once the zip goes its knackered and you could quiite easily puncture the material so for the same money it was a no brainer.

I never go fishing so mine should last forever 😀 the missus has just pinched it for her camping trip with the kids next wk though so its getting some use.

What is the weight of the icey-tek you bought like.I went to a shop in Woolacombe today to look at the yeti roadie 24,it weighed more empty than my korda bag when it's full.

Get a 24v power Porter ...skys the limit as to how big your cooler is and how many bottles of frozen water is in it ,you can even show boat and Cary 10l of water to drink ....

YES the icey tek is very heavy empty but that just shows why its the best insulated cool box available
( regret buying mine as never realised how heavy it was) gonna cost a bomb to send it back its too heavy for me with my health issues now

I was surprised at how big and heavy they are as well. I got the 40 litre one and its bloody huge and weighs 10kg empty 😱 they look like they would survive a nuclear blast there that well made mind. I sold my dometic one gerry and the total weight was 6kg and only cost £7.50 on interparcel so not to bad. The size and weight isnt really an issue for me as i can park behind most of the swims i fish on the trent but i definately wouldnt want to stick it on a barrow or carry it around a lake.

The 25 litre us 8kg empty and the 40 litre is 10kg empty mate. Bloody heavy, but as Gerry says thats due to all the insulation and the reason they are so good.

The yetis are fortunes and a lot more expensive than the icy tech. The price yeti charge for there gear is ridiculous. Top quality stuff though but it should be at those prices.

Yes the prices are nuts. I was looking at them earlier in the fjallraven shop in Ambleside. I did buy another yeti insulated mug mind as i still rate there cups as the best mind but even that was bloody £30

I have two dometics and highly rate them as well. Don't understand why anyone would buy a 48hr cooler with zippers, since the dometic easily cools five or six days and is strong enough to serve as a chair. You get a five years warranty as well and they're cheaper than Korda's.
If its because the camo fits with the rest of your gear, they now have the Cool Ice in army green. Only downside is that the 22L does not have the same drain plug the bigger ones have.

Don't want a rigid plastic box,is that ok with the coolbox police.I find the korda one comfier to carry than a plastic box and does not weigh a tonne when empty
