Is it really worth the extra over one of the many foldable toilets available under the camping banner, or is just carp tax again?

Bucket with a bit of pipe insulation.. got to be a better **** if you know it ain't cost 50 quid

I got one and really can't fault it.
Strong and packs down next to nothing, which is what I wanted.
Since having it I can't imagine not having one

Had mine a couple of years now. So much better than a bucket as it just slots in between gear on the barrow . Mine stays in the van. Some waters you need it with you some you don't. You hardly know it's there but you ain't half glad that it is there when you need it 😂

That was my thinking. Easy to store, nothing worse than having to pull the rods in at day break for a mad dash to a god awful thunder box

I have one of these, and though they are really well built - at 6 foot 2 it's not an ideal height.

Really wish I had gone for the ridgemonkey and one instead as I already have the XL bucket.

But, it does the job.

Simple answer is
If space is not s problem a bait bucket bin liner and clip on seat or bit of pipe lagging
But if your on a week session the sheer luxury of the carp life bivvy loo s SOOO worth buying not to mention the space saving compact size
Some people may think it's expensive but IMHO it's worth every penny

Having ibs, tending to fish the furthest swim from the porta potty, said potty not being too desirable and after actually finding one in stock I've gone for it.

The ridge monkey one is awful
Honesty if you have a size 6 body its fine .. But the size of it i think they thought Barbie was using it
Im 6ft 1in and weigh 15st and this thing is not big enough for my fat ar*e to fit on it
Bought one .... Took one look at at and its sat never used

Another incredible bit of kit. I love the way it folds down like a frisby. I bought a cheap pop up tent to put it in. My misses is well made up with it and has started asking to come along. Maybe I should have stuck with the shovel I had but too late the cats out of the bag.

Strange..... .....I'm roughly the same size as you and find the Ridgemonkey one absolutely fine, ok, you can't tuck your "bits" in but absolutely no problem for taking a quick dump! Maybe give it a try instead of writing it off straight away...???

I also have the Carp Life one but prefer the height of the Ridgemonkey, plus it takes all of my bait for the session...👍

The other really good feature of the Ridge is trapping the bag under the seat....saves any slippage or the bag sticking to your sweaty arse as you stand up.....

Ive just gone back to using a builders bucket with some lagging around the top
just put a black dustbin liner in it and away i go

No carp tax and comfy as anything

I've been a bucket & pipe lagging man for years - nothing beats curling one out in the bivvy doorway of a morning safe in the knowledge that your rods are in prime position for bite time . . .seen this recently and thought about upgrading the lagging . . .

I did a thread on them few weeks back,I decide on the bivvyloo but my mate has purchased the Hydre one.He said he could not justify the money,bloody tight arse.We are on the bank Friday for 48hrs so will let you know what he thinks of it

I find it better to sit on the narrower part of the bivvy loo. Hmmm just me 😁

Ordered Monday night, delivered today from future fishing. Had a little sit on it in the living room, much to the mrs' amusement. Gotta be better than the thunder boxes.

I have one similar to #13 got it from the range for £15 ish. I use it as a sh##er and rubbish bag. Has a semi sealed lid so not too bad I just move it downwind in the summer 😀

Someone needs to market an "OCCUPIED" sign. I have chronic IBS and have to use my bivvy loo a lot and always hellishly scared someone is going to come round to talk to me in the middle of doing my business, or even worse, during the wiping phase
